We went in there again (Meat = savage tank), he tanked it at the center and we kept getting it burned down to 50%.

Now we just have to get over the hump of the exploding AE death adds.

Thanks for all the advice all, our main raid leader wasn't on last night and we attempted the Overking in the center and we constantly got him down to 50%, however at 55% when using PawBusters wand he sometimes still did his massive attack so I'm thinking we just had bad luck.

What is the best way to handle those flaming draughts?

Spoiler below -- highlight if you want the details.

When he wields his sword, he gains a proc ability exactly 9 seconds after his emote.

Since that AE is a proc based on his attack, you need to use the wand prior to him hitting you (and possibly proc'ing the ae).

The best way to ensure you don't get hit during the brief period of time while the wand is casting, is to use tower of stone about 6 seconds after the emote. A stoneskinned hit does not allow procs to go off...

As for the flaming draughts -- engage them after they reach the stairs. Do not engage them before that. If you wait, then overking will not summon / change aggro. If you engage too early, he'll summon someone and change aggro. If you engage them too late, then he'll gain an AE.

You can afford one mistake if your troubador is on-the-ball and countersongs overking if he absorbs a draught. He'll only do the ae once per flame draught he absorbs.

What do you do for the ae, Overking's Inferno, that he throws? its an elemental and can be cured by potion or healers I know but do you joust it or just stand in the middle and cure it asap? I am wondering because most of you are saying tank him at the throne alnog with the adds but the cloth wearers seems to get owned by that ae.

Get a timer and traumatic swipe on the AE. Only the people who cant eat it need to Joust. That goes for any AE really
