Hi all, new here, of course.

I have a 20's guardian and I'm in need of advice on the order I should take my aa paths for a dps buckler spec.

Mostly I am duo-ing with a melee specced warden, but will want to be able to tank all the level appropriate heroic instances/dungeons. A Guardian should have no problem there with good gear & adept 3/masters.

From my research I want my spec, at least KoS side, to be Str 448, Agi 48642, Sta 4488, Int 41, or something close to that.
But other than getting stamina line to 448 first, in what order should I purchase these, and what EoF AA's should I purchase, and when?

I'm not a fan of dragoon's reflexes so much and acceleration strike is just too good to not upgrade imo. I'm gunna change it up quite a bit though and back farther out of the AGI line I think. No point in going down that line in t8 unless you get the end ability.

dragoon reflexes isnt really good unless ur raiding honestly, nothing hits that hard in this game beyond raid mobs that you should wanna give up the ability to taunt / do CAs to prevent damage
but the aoe attack from agi rocks hehe

I still don't think it's that hot. After using it a few times in raids, I just don't like it. Being immobilized for 10 sec does as much harm as it does good imho.

Why would you put 4 points in agi 4 instead of sta 4?

Dead tanks dont hold aggro.

A fair amount of builtup hate plus a Swashy is usually enuf to keep a mob on you during your stifle/daze period. Other than that, dont use the dang thing on pull, unless your Shaman/Cleric is in need of punishing.

If I rerolled a guard now Id go with this order for solo or small group leveling:
INT 4 8
STR 4 4 8
STA 4 4 8 8 (before filling sta up all the way I'd have to spend 30 points in guardian tree at this point 26 points in slaughtering and 4 points on rescue)
INT 0 0 8 7 2

Dragoon's Reflexes doesn't immobilize you, just makes you dazed and stifled.

its not hard to hold agro through the tsunami, if nothing else, tell your dps to stop casting for 10 seconds
i dunno if ya dont like the tsunami dont use it, but it really helps on certain fights that can do retarded damage hehe
and if nothing else, have another guard or a coercer or something just get the agro back to you if someone does pull agro while ur tsunamid

I made a poor choice of words there. What I meant to say was that being unable to perform any combat action for 10 seconds can do as much harm as it does good. Although situationally it can save your ass, for the most part it seems counterproductive to me.
