OK, maybe the block chance isn't 100% as reported by the UI?

But, it always blocks the next melee attack that hits you. And I'm calling that 100% chance to block since it always blocks. I watch my chat window every time I hit it so I know when I can start hitting CAs again.

Paladin's have the penitent kick line(looks like a boot kinda) that is 10 second recast, 1.5 sec duration. The stun component does not work on epics, but the knockback does. I use to use it all the time to complement our guardian on raids. It doesnt knock back all mobs(seems like some of the halls of seeing golems are immune) but affects enough to make it fun on coordinating it. I can confirm the stun does not apply to epics from it, just the knock down...;-)

So from you are saying you cant do any attacks while the buff is up? does autoattack or combat arts suspend it? What is the duration and recast/casting time?

Recast is 1 minute unless modified by spells or other AAs. The description reads something like...

"blocks the next incoming melee attack and any non-direct area of effect abilities. grants a total of one trigger. duration of 15 sec. using any combat arts before a successful trigger will end this ability early".

Note the combat art stipulation. This does not apply to taunts, defensive abilities (like ToS or mit buffs), or using items (such as potions, thermal shocker, etc.), or auto attack.

You're allowed to do anything with it up and running, it's just that if you use a combat art it basically cancels the "buff".

This is probably a stupid question, but when the guardian casts this endline ability, is it listed as a effect that ACT can pick up? For Example, when Block is cast it's effect is called "Bulwark" when it procs the block. Just curious how you seperate it blocking a attack versus a normal shield block. Plus, does the endline ability require a shield to be equiped, or can you 2 hand or dual wield and use the ability?

No, doesn't do anything like this. It's easier to think of it as a buff that jacks up your block chance to 100% for the next melee attack. But as someone pointed out eariler, it actually doens't show a block chance of 100% in your persona window, but that's basically what it does.

You must have a shield equipped to use this ability.

The ability is amazing btw.

Does it require a tower shield or as long as any shield in in secondary it will work? Just wondering if it works hand in hand with buckler line or against it...:-)

You can still use taunts with out cancel it tho.. with block that is.
