Guardian Epic Weapon Quest Line

Must have completed the following Heritage Quests:

• The Bone Bladed Claymore ( The Bone Bladed Claymore - EQ2i )
• The Screaming Mace ( The Screaming Mace - EQ2i )

The quest for the Guardian Epic weapon begins in Antonica at Windstalker village. Once there a NPC named "Jimbo" will give you the quest. He will only offer you the quest if you have the Bone Bladed Claymore in your inventory. If you do, he'll take it from you and offer you the quest, "The Search for Vel'Arek".

• The clues you need for the sword are found in the Commonlands. In one of the deadends of the rivers that are closest to the Ruins of Val'marr you'll find the update which is a scroll next to a skeleton in the water. The scroll briefly talks about the former general that used to wield the sword. Loc: 617, 0, 209

• You will next have to go to Feerrott at some old ruins of Rallos to help with the clues you found about the general. You will find a tablet next to some ruins between a wall and a tree. After you click on the tablet, a named will trigger and attack you, his name is: Medic Chief Gorza, he's a 83 single down. After you kill him reinspect the tablet for an update. (There is a small respawn time of for the tablet to respawn if it's been recently picked up) Loc: -914, 0, 550

• To help decipher the ruins on the tablet, you'll need to find someone that can do it. The person that can help you is "Kelteez the Covetous" in the Temple of Cazic Thule. He'll only help you if you bring him the treasure of Gorfuzod the Keeper which is the Screaming Mace. Make sure it's in your inventory, he'll then take it from you and give you your update. He's at Loc: 2, -12, -78.

• Kelteez will tell you he doesnt know where the general is but he can tell you where some information on the sword is. The next step of the quest is to head out to Danak Shipyard in Jarsath Wastes and purchase a Rallosian Garrison Journal from "Eviss Ryiss", the Faction Merchant. It requires having enough faction to interact with the merchants in Danak and costs 2p40g to get this next update.

• Next examine the purchased journal in your inventory. After doing so you'll find that the sword was brought to Kunark. Head to Kunzar Jungle behind one of the waterfalls and knock down a breakable wall.

Loc: 376, 7, -276 (The wall reconstructs after 10 seconds or so)

• Once inside you'll have to make your way to the back of the tunnels till you see a blade stuck in a rock (Loc: 528, -8, -436) . Click on the blade and its essence will spawn next to it, Vel' Arek. Talk to Vel'Arek and he'll tell you to find the general Urduuk and kill him.

He'll be found inside the Shard of Fear at Loc: -243, 25, -236:

• Apparently he's being held inside a prison. He tells you you'll have to bring him 4 items to be able to free him of his prison and destroy him. These items are:

1. -A Fragment of Fear
2. -A Censer of Cazic
3. -A sigil of divine undoing
4. -A Essence of God Curse

1. The Fragment of Fear comes from Terror, a x2 monster in Shard of Fear.
2. The Censer of Cazic comes from Sathirian patrons in the market area of Sebilis and Sathirian spiritis in the quarter master areas of Sebilis.
3. The sigil (Oblis Sigil of the Shissar) is a harvestable in Chelsith with multiple spawn points. I personally got mine at -351, 36, -281 while others got it at -15, 36, -420 (Prevailer named area), and others by the Preserver. The harvestable itself looks like a small mound of dirt with a ? above it.
4. The Essence of God Curse comes from the final named in Unrest, Garanel.

• After you retrieve these items, head back into Shard of Fear and hail him to use the items to release him from his prison. Before you could destroy him though, he escapes leaving Shackles of Horror behind him along with your quest update.

• Your journal will say you need to find him and destroy him and he'll likely be near the spot he lost his life the first time, back in the Commonlands at the river end. Use the shackles around the general area of the skeleton and it'll spawn Urduuk the Desecrator 85^^^

• Kill him and head back to the sword Vel'Arek in Kunzar Jungle (Loc: 528, -8, -436). He'll tell you to go find 8 Rallosians of Glory tags in Norrath:

1. Cusmar's tag: Purchased from faction merchant in City of Jinisk in Kunzar Jungle (40k faction required... 4p80g)
2. Eloc's tag: Harvestable in Danak Shipyard in Jarsath Wastes -13, -40, 1094 and -122, -50, 1231 (random along the beach it seems)
3. Rabid's tag: Drop from Impaler Tzilug in Charasis: Maiden's Chamber instance in Jarsath Wastes
4. Modi's tag: Drop from trash in Skyfire Mountains in Jarsath Wastes (Wurms, devourers, wyverns. Personally I got mine off first kill from elder skyfire wurm close to Temple of Red Lord)
5. Tank's tag: Harvestable in Court of Korucust instance in Chardok -763, -57, 234
6. Elno's tag: Drop from Diggmaster Bonerattler one of the burrows in the Field of Bone in Fens of Nathsar. He's a triggered 85^^^ spawn with some single up adds. -1567, -376, -1839
7. Remej's tag: Clickable on skeleton next to Vel'Arak in Kunzar Jungle 528, -8, -436
8. Limik's Tag: Quest Reward from Thunderbelly the NPC giant far to the left of field of bone. He's hungry and wants from you 12 of each: Fried King Prawn Heads, Torsis Ice Cream, Cranberry Cobbler, Cocoa-Dusted Wedding Cake (All 4 of the items can be purchased from the broker or made by a provisioner) -882, -290, -1935

• After you have all 8 RoG tags return to the Manifestation of Vel'Arek (528, -8, -436). He'll want you to defeat the one responsible for the siege of Tallon's Point.

• Head to Charasis: Vault of Eternal Sleep instance in Jarsath wastes. Complete the instance and get the phylactery that's right in front of the final named. Once you have it, head to the Ganak's old crypt part of the Synod Reet camp in Kunzar Jungle. Head into the middle of the floor and click on the phylactery in your inventory. It will trigger the spawn Dominus Ganak 85^^^ 620, -103, 942

Head back to Vel'Arek and withdraw your prize from the stone, the heroic version of the Guardian epic weapon:

• To receive the quest to upgrade to our MYTHICAL version you must right click on the sword itself and click "Use". The Manifestation of Vel'Arek will reappear and offer you the quest, "Revitalizing Vel'Arek".

To complete the quest you must then:

1. Kill Imzok's Revenge in the Protector's Realm (then use your sword and speak to the manifestation)
2. Kill Selrach Di'Zok (Overking) in the Temple of Kor-Sha or Venril Sathir in Venril Sathir's Lair. (then use your sword and speak to the manifestation)
3. Kill Silverwing in Veeshan's Peak
4. Run back to the place where you first found the blade in Kunzar Jungle (528, -8, -436), right click the sword and speak to the Manifestation of Vel'Arek. Upon finishing his dialogue you'll be rewarded with the mythical version of our epic weapon.

As a resident EQ1 nerd, I am here to help. Unfortunately I was a rogue in EQ1, so I dunno how much help I can be on a warrior questline!

I'm like every other guardian: I just want the weapon and hope it looks cool with good stats.

Well I was a Warrior in EQ1 that did the epic quest line, so I'll be adding EQ1 lore when needed to help solve the quest series.

You HAVE to have completed the Bone Bladed Claymore Heritage Quest from Stormhold (The Bone Bladed Claymore - EQ2i). Once you have your BBC, head to the three new NPCs in Windstalker village, Jimbo (loc -1874, -35, -634) will give you the quest.
