Default Raid Benefits of Guardian Mit Buffs

I was curious as you how you guys use your two mit buffs in a raid situation. I'm under the impression that they don't do a whole hell of alot cuz mit is so borked. Currently, I use the group mit buff on pulls just because it's basically a freebie, but during combat the cast time seems pretty long, even with divine recovery, JCap, etc. Also, the negative benefits of our self mit buff seem to make it next to worthless, again because of the diminishing returns.

Thought? Comments?

With both mit buffs active, I'm up to 67% physical damage reduction. Without, I'm at 60%.

7% might not seem like much, but when you're talking about getting double attacked for 9k (pre-mit buffs), it can make the difference of whether you live or die.

I have about 18k HP raid buffed, and a double attack would come close to killing me if it's right after an AE and wards get eaten. Assuming I get double attacked for 9k each hit, if I'm at full HP but wards are off, I would normally die. With the temps active, I wouldn't die.

So yes, makes a huge difference.

For trash, I'll hit Fortify if it's up on the pull. But otherwise, I don't use these on trash. On named, I Fortify on pull and Wall when I know I'm about to take a damage spike.

I usually rotate them, command then wall. Maybe a tiny amount of DPS lost, but who cares. I tend not to use wall on easy encounters, due to the drawbacks.

I tend to use command sentinel sphere on pulls , wall about halfway through, then rotate em all as timers come up - any bit helps the healers

Should be noted that when bow pulling, hammer pulling, shaman dog pulling, ect, you can use Fortify after the mob is engaged to build hate and get the mob focused back on you long before it reaches the raid.

Works as long as someone in the MT group is already hated, kind of like a long distance taunt.

Depends on the fight.
Trash or easy encounter I'll just use Fortify right before or during pull, no need to use more than once as mob will be debuffed or dead before it comes up next time.
Hard but static (ie I don't move) fight I'll rotate Fortify, Wall of Armor and Immobility to keep damage down. If say due to jousting healers have problem keeping me out of the red I'll use these to add that edge those few percent still gives)
Hard but non static, only Fortify as I can't have both torpor slow and wall of armor slow stacked that'll just make me be almost rooted.

I use it as often as possible on Melee/trauma AOE's

Still some "Special" Guards who don't know you can "Block" and "Tower of Stone" these types of AOE's though :P
