Buckler or Sev Shield

Hi, my guard recently got invited to a guild doing T1 (hopefully someday T2 raids).

If I'm tanking, should I use a buckler with the sta line? Or, I do have the green sheild from the KJ dragon... i'm unfamiliar with raid tanking (as a guardian.. not so much as a sk) and just would like an answer on this.

Honestly, till you get the hang of raiding on your Guardian, I would say stick with a tower shield. Learn when to use ToS and get handy with a macro to swap a tower on then go buckler line when you feel ready.

And in the meantime of raiding T1 you will most likely get a Virtues Guard buckler to drop out of PR. Slap that on with your buckler spec and have fun.

Would have to say it depends on if you are losing agro or if you are dying (hopefully not both).

Create a new hotbar and setup it up like this:

Slot 1: Buckler
Slot 2: Kite Shield
Slot 3: Tower of Stone skill
Slot 4-12: Lots of T8 tower shields

On pulls put on a tower shield, use tower of stone, and when it goes down swap back to buckler. Whenever something bad is about to happen or your healers can't keep up then repeat the same thing.

If your healers are really having issues keeping you up in some of the later zones like VP then use your kite until its under control then go back to buckler whenever you can to keep agro. Once you get a better tower shield over your kite shield replace it on the hotbar.

If you are losing agro you need to keep the buckler on and depend on your healers.

Get yourself an AA mirror. If you do not own Virtue's Guard, then I would go with Green Dragon with very few exceptions. Once you get VG, swap your spec as needed & use the appropriate shield.
