Last night I received my three set bonus on Wrathbringers, which was the gussets. Now I am left with the choice to loose 5 melee crit for mental damage on my taunts. It only added mental damage to impede (372) and guard (421), however it sometimes crits up to 500-600. Do you think replacing my Honorbound VB for Wrathbringers Gussets will be worth it for that extra mental damage on taunts? I know for PvP it will be very useful, but what about raiding would you go with the WBG or HBVB?

Another question is if I get a + mental damage adornment to my charm slot would the mental damage on the taunt go up?

I meant the symbol/charm slot with the Smoldering Telekinetic Ornament. (Nevermind that previous statment) I still haven't heard which would be better, the + 5 melee crit or mental damage on taunt bonus...

12 DPS is better than 50 spell damage would be anyway.

If you are interested in increasing your spell damage, there are many viable things out there - you might even be able to cap it.

Ring from Imzok, Belt of Station from gimp in PR, Queen's Gloves from Thuuga... I'm sure there are more, but that is off the top of my head.

edit: it should be noted that I do not have 3 set, so I have no clue if these items actually effect the damage on our taunts.

I would probably stay wth HBVB to be honest its not a huge dmg increase on the taunts, +5 crit seems abit much to loose over it.

In case anyone was wondering, the spell damage from 3 set is not effected by + spell damage as far as I can tell from looking at tooltip and parses.
