Hey, I'm kinda new to EQ2 And I currently started a guardian and I'm at level 69 already and I'm starting to get into raiding and I was just curious as to what a good main tank raid AA line/spec would be? I'm currently trying to fingure one out and cannot seem to... If you could post a picture with a good raid AA spec I'd be greatly thankful.

what I am still missing, is a good buckler spec for raiding in the beginning zones. on towers i read agi is absolutly needed- but how to make a spec where STA and AGI is included, leaving int out?

A common defensive / AE spec is: STR 448 AGI 44862 STA 4488 INT 41

Honestly, the real reason to get AGI is not the AE stuff or defense, it is the Reflexes ability.

I've been playing with a few spec's.

I've found the INT end line ability great all around, increases agro and refreshs those 'oh shit' buffs faster.

Currently i'm fooling around with
AGI:5/4/8/5/2
STA:4/4/8/5
INT:4/7/5/6/2

The no crits sucks, but seems like a decent trade off for faster recasts, retaining reflexs and still getting the DA.

I also tried a spec for more avoidance by flipping the STA#3 and #4 values (sta: 4/4/5/8). Haven't done enough to see if that spec is worth the 15% DA loss

I thought of doing that as well, it is certainly much more viable when you have Mythical, but worth some parsing either way.

I find myself annoyed either way when switching between my 2 specs (the one listed in my other post and STR/STA/INT), I am annoyed with my lower DPS without the INT endline, and annoyed with no reflexes in the other.

My solution so far is to force my defiler to cast ritual on me every time it pops, so I kind of have INT endline at least some of the time.

well, losing INT endline would cause 12% loose of reusespeed- but considering loosing it you could reduce the loose by 5, by wearing the quest cheldrak ring... i was thinking about it too.

OK on AGI endline, on my tower spec i have it.

but considering this one - taking DA to max (60%), wouldnt it be wiser to take the 8% instead and reduce the DA? on raids Dirge with DA would be better no?

i havent raided anything beyond T1- so im just collecting information for myself ... how to go best )

Continue reading in my post, and it said i flipped the DA and the avoidance, and am currently trying that too.

My Buckler Spec, which actually increases my avoidance:

Str 4-4-8
Agi 4-1
Sta 4-4-8-8
Int 4-7-8-3-1

This keeps AS up almost 100% of the time, and I have increased my DPS by almost 1k on T2 trash mobs. When Blades and Recoverery go off it gets fun.

I do not spike as much as I thought I would, but then again I am at 12% uncontested Ripostle, 30% Parry and about 70% avoidance. I use Virtues Guard.
