It's really not that hard to test, just use some of the treasured trash stuff from RoK. Compare something that is lvl 72 with something that is lvl 80.

There're a few more items I would put on there as well from the chardok questline. The BP from Sneak, Snatch and Snuff and the Gwalnax Brigade Insignia ring from Honor and service. The ring has some nice resist stats on it and the BP is better than the one linked earlier.

Allakhazam and eq2i.wikia say they are the last of the line, but as I'm running it and completing each quest I'm finding a few quests that don't have any guide on either site. Maybe the devs plugged a few quests in while we weren't watching. I'll be able to give more specifics about which quests when I get home and can look tonight.

As Anap said, it is accurate.

Mitigation Value deteriorates when your level is much higher than the item level.

The way to test yourself is to equip both items and compare the mitigation % in the Mitigation tooltip. These %'s are the most accurate values - the raw mitigation value doesn't say anything.

You might consider adding some of the RE2 equipment like the Mighty Hauberk and Grunblig's Blackened Alloy Belt to the list here. I don't see any of that equipment listed and some of it is quite good.

Updated the list with RE2 items - hadn't noticed that there were no more editing restrictions.

For some odd reason the V e l in ***'Arek is being converted into ***.

If we can get more info on the Chardok questline, I'd be happy to add additional items to the list. I'll have to come back and do some updates for the upgraded Sebilis and Chardok loot as well.

Edit: Also just noticed that Falken had added the Legendary gear to the stickied gear thread, hehe.

from quest sneak, snatch and snuff. It isn't in the lootdb for some reason. This quest also let's on to more quests from the same tower in kylong plains but none of the sites I use has anything listed as a follow on quest. I wasn't ever a really big fan of the ravaged onslought set gear, thought it was lacking too many stats and effects to be of any real use to guards.

Since I deleted my guard and rerolled him I don't have any information on the follow on quests though, so someone may be able to supply the information I'm lacking now.

bah, maybe I should do the research fully before I post. I had done that one already and it let me into another quest. Wish I still had my guard so i could at least look this up for you guys.

First off amazing post. Sticky it.

Second on the lower gear lvl mitigation issue. Mitigation degrades in this manner.

vs a mob of your lvl the mit for a piece of armor will be

(armor lvl / your lvl) * (Mitigation) = effective mitigation

so lets say lvl 70 armor and you are 80 and the item has 550 mit

(70/80) * (550) = 481.25 effective mit

then even a lvl 80 item with 482 is better than your lvl 70 piece.
