Default Moderate Question

Hey all,

Was wondering where you all put moderate. As raid tank I usually just stick it on the swash/assassin/hate transfer in the group. But I'm wondering if the reduction in hate occurs before or after I get the transfer if you follow my thinking.

For eg. if I'm getting 16% of the swash's 1k dps (easy numbers for the math) that's 160 hate to me. With moderate on him do I still get 160 hate transfer OR.... '160 - 36%' from moderate?......OR does the moderate come off his left over 840?.....Confused?, I am

I always put it on my defiler.
I assumed it would reduce the agro of the Transfer if you put it on the MT Swash/Ass so I never do.

I always understood it as dps > xfer > hate reduction (wether from gear / proc / moderate) so i always have it on the assassin / swash in MT group.

Could be totally wrong, but thats just how i understand it, maybe pinski will drop by and lay the smack down on this thread.

From what I've seen, I believe transfer is applied and what remains is moderated.

I always put it on the templar or defiler. Imo you dont want your hate transfers to have low hate gain...

Since there's no good info out there on how it stacks with xfer, I just stick it on the dirge. He'll pull aggro before a healer does, and he sometimes pulls so the extra avoidance check probably does something...maybe...

From what I've seen the defiler is only ever gonna grb agro on the pull, usually a body pull at that, due to wards. That's pretty easily dealt with by his single target fear/hate reducer (fear doesn't work on epics but hate reducer does), so maybe I'll try it on the dirge. Will experiment and see.

Thanx for input all.

There's no time to cast deagro on pull. And taunt can be resisted.
