Just been trying to figure some shit out here, Riposte DMG and how it works when a u hit the mob and it ripostes on you, is it a % based Dmg u take or does it just deflect the Auto attack or the hit that u do on it back to you , that would just be reflect,

the reason i ask this Question , considerig changing something up in my guardian tree and was thinking does the Riposte Dmg hit u hard enough , or is it just mitigated , hope i am making sence here ,

If a mob ripostes your attack, it's just an extra auto attack swing on you. So, the damage will be dependent on the mob's standard auto attack damage.

It's not a big deal prior to VP. But if you're in VP or will be soon, it's probably not a bad idea to get the riposte AA until you get the mythical.

Some others that have tried it in VP can probably say more about it though.

Riposte will do less damages than a regular auto attack, but will still be able to hit you for 5 or 6K at times.

Funny thing is riposting a riposte, though ;) .

we are in VP now and i am trying to Cut my Spike Dmg a bit , so i was thinking some of it has to do with Riposte ,

Just an idea, but on an easier fight, have your oftank mellee in front of the mob to easily see how much the riposte dmg is. Or you can just disect your logs and calculate it yourself.
