Default Question about Parry

Stupid question but wanted to know.

On our raids our guardian says parry in alot. What combat art is he talking about? I don't play a guard, but I don't know of a temp parry buff? I keep forgetting to ask him when we raid..

Any insight would be appreciated.

Could possibly be talking to his MT dirge, askin him to switch in his +parry skill buff.

Edited to add: Or could be his way of saying he's using dragoons reflexes, which is a temp guard AA buff that parries all inc melee attacks.

You can find the time and remember to post here about it but you can't remember to ask your own MT about his calls?

Not trying to sound rude, but why the hell would you ask here when all we can do is speculate when you should be asking the person who's saying it to find out for sure what they mean by it.

If it's important enough for your MT to be saying in vent/TS during a fight, it's important enough for you to ask him exactly what he means by it if you don't know.

Thanks Judist, I caught him online this morning and it's the dragoon reflexes. Appreciate you taking the time to help out.

Also thanks Anap for the lecture.. I tend to not bother our MT while he's tanking with questions that can be asked at a more appropriate time. Our MT is an officer so at end of raids they jump into a vent channel and talk, so again I hate to bother him. So, yes I had not asked him and I was sitting up here last night and had plenty of time to ask as we were not raiding and I thought people in here would know and be helpful. I'm a new recruit without a lot of raiding experience. I apologize for my ignorance, and I'm sorry I forgot to ask my MT and asked here instead.

Im guessing he means the 10 seconds of 100% parry aa skill

tell him to get rid of it though to much is sacrificed for having it

I believe he spec's this for the Druusk fight, but could be wrong.

I will tell him what you suggested though.

It is absolutely worth it for pre-mythical tanking of Druushk, but after you have the mythical, not so much. Still worth keeping on a mirror at min.

Default Re: Question about Parry

the end int ability and and acceleration make such a large difference in EVERY fight that the effects really cant be measured. 10 Seconds of parry doesnt do much if you cant get it off in time. As for the druushk Fight you just need to remember to have the MT's healers out of the 10m range so he has the stoneskin proc thingy (been 5 months since ive really played) and have him use the damage shield of druushk to his benifit if your quick you can use his weak ass damage shield to proc stoneskin then turn off auto attack boom free stoneskin

Really once you get the fight down the most annoying thing is by far the pull.

Or just make your healers non-suck and autoattack all the way through the fight and use CA's. Oh, and cure the arcane, lol.
