I'd agree mobs don't riposte incredibly often (although, that's kinda hard to tell, since I've never tried Trak without the mythical equipped), but since it only takes 1 riposte at a bad time to kill you and probably wipe the raid, I'd stand by the riposte immunity as a useful effect. It's really the fact that ripostes are out of sync with the general incoming damage and unpredictable that makes immunity useful.

But that said it's a worthless effect outside raids, and whilst I realise epics aren't made for heroic instances, there is a clear imbalance between the Zerker 100% AE, crit and DA proccing Myth and our rather mediocre one that's saved only by the fact we benefit a lot from the boost to autoattack damage it gives us. I definitely agree the changes need reviewing (or all the people who flipped fotm classes on a whim from Zerker to Guard will soon be flipping back), but I'd rather keep the riposte immunity and see the other effects improved.

As much as I do like the new proc, I am not stoked on having two procs. Wish they would add the immunity effects to the first proc and make a static damage absorption on the weapon =/ In any case, it's better than the clicky effect.

Then again, this is like gas going from $1.50/gal to $4.00/gal then dropping back down to $3.00/gal and saying wow gas is cheap now!

I agree the damage reduction should be a static "when equipped" 10%.

I think alot of people are seriously under estimating the value of the new control effect immunity proc.

I'd also like to see a % incoming damage converted to hate, but we can't always have our cake and eat it too. We have a metric shit ton of snap aggro tools now, but the sustained aggro is a little borderline, at least for me and my testing on raids in beta... and that's with STR4 maxed, too.

With raids on beta pulling 110k+ with 3 groups, I might actually have to start paying attention

I don't under estimate the worth of the immunity procs, but I do hate the damage absorption proc. Make the damage absorption constant and the damage absorped converted to hate. Put the immunities on the main proc and add in mez and life would be peachy.

As for the str 4 ability, I have a hard time justifying it if I have a dirge and coercer in the group. Yes it boosts the taunts but the 8% hate portion of the skill then does nothing.

what i would like to see is a static 5% damage reduction that adds those 5% to hate.

the proc is awesome. combine that with the damage proc and we got a really nice mythical once again.

anap you mind sharing your shadows aa setup for raids ?
i dont raid much anymore (well reallife kicked me out of it for now) but i would still like to see your aa setup.

i always looked out for you when i was still on cb and checking your gear to see what is good to get :D so your word has a lot of weight for me.

I've not really tried many different setups in the shadow tree, and the ones I'm running now are really to test different stuff out, but currently running:

General
5 Hearty Constitution (2.5% max health)
5 Enhanced Mind (2.5% max power)

Fighter
5 Consummate Defender (+20% def stance skill bonuses)
5 Offensive Prowess (+20% off stance skill bonuses)
1 Sneering Assault

Warrior:
5 Aggressive Nature (Additional hate to hold the aggression)
5 Veteran's Shielding (+5% def stance mitigation)
1 Cry of the warrior

Guardian:
5 Added Constitution (+15% hp to return to combat) NOTE: this is nice when cast with Trak BP, bringing total hp bonus to +48% for return to combat.
4 Decimation (+8% skill reduction, +12% damage for decimate)
5 Guardian's Will (+10% mitigation, +10% shield effectiveness for wall of armor)
5 Reversal (15% chance of strikethough on good avoidance check)
1 Defensive minded
1 Sentinel Strike


I'll more than likely not run this exact spec live when I get max AA. This setup is for testing more than anything for me. I'm sure there's better options.

Ehh .. the immunity effect is not stellar or anything .. its 1.8 per min .. can not be changed .. so only 18s out of 60 .. MEHH ..

It needs more, shit look at the other mythicals!

Needs to be changed to 10% static damage Asorb, and a Hate Component added. DPS classes are doing like 12K+ DPS from what im hearing .. WOW ... we going to need all the hate we can get.

I agree that the proc is slightly better. I agree with the notion that the damage reduction should be static and some damage converted to hate is necessary to stabilize the aggro.

I like the setup Anap but I'll probably change it slightly to suit my play style but omg I'm liking the HP boost.
