When you get the guy at 20% he starts to power himself up, where you have roughly 10-13secs to do roughly 10k dps before he regens to 100% health.
I am not talking about the easier instances here. I am talking about Orange con mobs. And basically the last named at the end of the zones.

Your mages suck because they die to a 3-4k AoE and don't cure themselves. How you ever killed Trak but can't deal with Powermonger is beyond me, but I guess the sun shines on a dog ass ever now and then.

Re: Mages in TSO?
I've noticed playing mage alts, that the resist rate with Ad3 spells, can be utterly awful, while M1s hardly ever seem to resist. I think there is a big gap in the mechanics between Ad3s and M1s for Mages (bigger than the 4% on reading most spell descriptions suggests), since while CAs always seem to land, spells are much more sensitive to quality. So while a fully mastered mage is pretty awesome DPS - seen an 8k ZW from a wiz in halls of the fallen - one with only ad3s is gonna end up doing pretty weak DPS compared to a scout with ad3s.
Displacement gear will also flat out pwn heroic content, and obviously a Wiz with the 2-set, hoshkar robe, and soulshattering band is gonna be able to tank, never mind survive AEs. That's still no excuse for not carrying cure potions, though, and as has already been said, a mage dying to a DoT because they don't have potions is nobody's fault but their own.

Re: Mages in TSO?
Ok so I have to pipe up in here..The problem on powermonger was not that I (as a conji) was dying. It was that without the next to worthless bubble spec, which might I add I don't think hardly any conji's with their myth's use btw, my pet would not stay up this fight. As Jo said, it would get the noxious dot and die being that SoE in their infinite wisdom gives us no way to cure the damn pet.
So yeah I was screwed trying to get the pet up for the final 20% burn because the timing between bounce up is too short for the long pet summon, And obviously while I'm trying to deal with pet summons I'm not dpsing. Even with bubble spec to keep the pet alive it means leaving the pet not attacking the entire fight till 20%. So yeah..my parse as a summoner sucks on that fight..not because I suck but because SoE decided to royally fuck a conji on pet surviveability that fight.
Do I blame the healers cause they couldn't keep the nox off the pet thus keeping the pet alive? uhhh...I don't think so :p

Could be wrong but if you have a healer that group cures Nox your pet will be cured of the nox effect, that is if your pet is within range. My suggestion would be plant your pet beside you and stay close to the healer, if you don't run with a group nox cure healer in your group, then maybe you should think about doing so when facing the nox dot.

You can always name your pet something else and have one of your "healers" make a macro that cures the nox on that target. If people weren't so lazy with the profit click to cure buttons this wouldn't be a difficult request.
Another thing is that the pet doesn't get kicked around so it can sit there an just cast the entire time so you might not top the parse but at least you finish the zone.
Or you can just leave the pet dead and just DPS as normal since your pet is roughly worth about 1k maybe 2k DPS tops in a group.

Re: Mages in TSO?
Tried the leaving the pet dead and just doing my own dpsing and it was not enough to get the 20% burn. Unlike Necros, conji's big hitters are all tied to the pet standing. No pet= no Plane Shift, Blazing Manifestation, or Elemental Unity and nothing fun to fall back on such as LB.
After respecing for bubble for this one and only fight (the dragonscale cloak is worth it right heh) we killed it with no problem. Spose this zone will give me an excuse to dump points into dimensional pocket as well..assuming Jo ever takes me back there lol :p
