If you have the shards and are not hell bent on gearing up an alt on the same account, then why not?

I haven't heard that SOE is adding nifty new shard equipment (doesn't mean it wont happen in the future) so what else are you going to use the shards on?

The TSO legendary shard gloves ARE nice with the haste. Depending on raid/group set up you prob wont be at the haste cap so the gloves are a nice bonus.

I'm sitting at 200+ shards now wondering wtf I'm going to do with them. I could really give a crap about my necro alt on the account.

So I say, if you have the shards, spend them!

As far as VP set, the 2 set bonus reinforcement is something you prob want to keep.

I would use the shoulders until you get Varsoon shoulders, at least. Also the helm isn't bad - 4 crit. Both our VP helm and Shoulders eat, so these two pieces aren't bad investments at all.

if you do not have the Trakanon BP the shard bp is not to bad. and you would have the 3piece set boni.

i tanked through vp in the t2 shard shoulders, hands, head, gloves, pants, boots and used atrebe's battlegarb for my chest (from kor sha raid). got the bp off silverwing first time i killed him and swapped to it, with the upcoming changes the +10 aggression will be good.
