Default TSO AA

I was wondering what the guardian community's feelings were on the TSO AA now that people are starting to get maxed out on AA. Some of the AA are vague in their descriptions and don't show you how much of an increase they are; if anyone has data on how useful the strike through AA is, or how much the shield effectiveness bonus to our mit buff actually helps, etc.

I get asked a lot of questions in game from friends and guildies about AA specs and I wasn't able to answer several of them. I have been slacking and only have like 173 AA.

If you are refering to: Aggresive nature and Rallying Cry that add effects to the ability, well at 5 points in each they show: 533-652 Hate increase for block chance for aggresive nature which gets added onto Hold the Aggression; not sure if M1 reads different. And rallying cry adds 105 Spell and CA damage onto Call to Warfare. Other then those two, I think the rest are reasonably explained.

Default Re: TSO AA

I went for the following setup.

My primary focus was to maximise survivabiliy and agro control. I have a second spec focused more around dps.

Fighter Line:-
- I did test putting points into Consumate Defender (Defensive stance) put the actual change it made was micoscopic.
- Rescue reuse is caped in my guardian tree
- The ripose is shite. Very little extra damage

Warrior Line:-
- Extra hate positions on rescue are useless to me. I already have 3 rescues and re-inforcement. If I cannot get top with that straight from death something is seriously wrong. I can even call for the mob to be memwiped if needs be
- Absorbing blows seems like a waste of AA to me. Yes we get stunned a lot but we have plenty of items that proc stun immunities including our mythical. There is freedom of the mind potions as a backup in an emergency. In most cases the stun is short and I can hold agro just fine with group taunt and brock shocker - lol
- Being so high on the mit curve the extra mit provided by Veteran's shielding was also miniscule.
- I would have liked to take shield slam but I felt that the extra taunt from block and the +comba/spell damage buffs gave more so I prioritised the rest of my points for the Guardian line

Guardian Line:-
Lots of really nice stuff down here and I wanted to take it all but I didnt have enough points left. I took maxed the ones I felt gave the most and went from there.

If you are interested to see how some of our abilities look like with the AA attached here are a few samples

M1 Hold the Aggression does not affect the amount of hate on successful block chance. I'm particularly thrilled about buying this with that unaffected and it being combined with defensive stance.

Mines more or less the same as muraha except i do have the extra hit chance on staggering charge, with the Tso 4 set bonus if staggering misses its a 25% SE loss. Which against 87+mobs it was missing ALOT.

Of course. I hadn't really thought of that since I dont have my four pieces yet. On that note, have you given any thought to putting points into Decimate in the guardian tree for the longer duration now that we have it beefed up in the Shadows tree?

DPS Spec:

General:
5-Hearty Constitution
5-Swift Journey

Fighter:
5-Swinging Strike
5-Offensive Prowess
5-Riposte Mastery
4-Battle Hardening
1-Sneering Assault

Warrior:
5-Rallying Cry
5-Shield Slam
5-Absorbing Blows
1-Cry of the Warrior

Guardian:
5-Decimation
5-Reversal
2-Defensive Minded
2-Sentinel Strike

Raid Tank Spec:

General:
5-Hearty Constitution
5-Swift Journey

Fighter:
5-Consummate Defender
5-Battle Hardening
1-Sneering Assault

Warrior:
4-Saving Grace
5-Rallying Cry
5-Aggresive nature
5-Absorbing Blows
5-Veteran's Shielding
1-Cry of the Warrior

Guardian:
5-Added Constitution
5-Guardian's Will
2-Defensive Minded
2-Sentinel Strike

I have no issues with power at all or Swift Journey could easily be Enhanced Mind with either spec. There is nothing quite like running down your opponent with 89% mount speed. I also don't have an all-around spec or it would look quite different than these.

Why do you not have sneering assault in your tank spec? I would think an extra snap agro would be helpful with the loss in dps from that spec.
