Re: DA or Crit
Crit than DA.
But with upcoming changes - maybe just crit taunts?

Re: DA or Crit
DA improves Auto Attack a bit more than Crit.
But Crit enhances your CA's as well, so overall Crit > DA.

Re: DA or Crit
I've calculated DA > Crit using a tso parse.
The effect of DA is slightly better, but as my toon is near 100% DA raidbuffed I'm prefering crit.

There are lot of buffers for DA, but only one for Crits, so in the raid environment self crits are more appropriate then DA.

Re: DA or Crit
I hate to necropost, but I'd get screamed at if I started a new thread.
So currently I run about 50%ish crit and 60%ish DA self-buffed. I realize it's not nearly as good as it could be, and it's 100% a gear issue. However, I currently have minimal to zero aggro problems. So here's my questions which mostly covers the upcoming tank changes which rumor has may or may not happen now...
The way I see it is that with the new hate system after the supposed changes we'll have to give up either DA or crit in our warrior tree to optimize ourselves for our taunts.
So it looks like it's going to be:
STA - 4-4-8-8
STR - 4-4-5-8 (focusing on DA)
or
STA - 4-4-5-8
STR - 4-4-8-8 (focusing on crit)
or
STA - 4-4-8-8 (current live setup)
STR - 4-4-8-5 (focusing on both with a taunt crit reduction)
So which one is easier to give up? Or does it really make a difference? Or is it dependent on what gear you have?
**edited cuz I got it backwards**

Re: DA or Crit
Easiest thing to give up imo is the shield protecton, 8AA for 12% really isn't that great at all and it is sprinkled heavily on gear this expansion.
My spec which I will likely keep is 4488 STR, 4485 STA. You have it a lil backward, STR3 is crits, STR4 taunt crap, STA3 double attack, STA4 is shield effectiveness.

Noted.
But if hate is as easy as everyone will think it will be, then wouldn't the easiest assumption be to increase your avoid? My line of thinking is that if our dps is going to be reduced to about 2/3 or less of what it was it would seem like the small gain we would get from either of them would be inconsequential to the gains we would get from the 4.5% extra shield effectiveness from putting an additional 3 points into STA4 (when tanking).
Maybe it's a preference thing, and probably won't make or break anything in the long run.
