Re: Guardian Macros
The macro creator is pretty self explanatory. Just choose what you want to do from the drop down box and boom, done.

Re: Guardian Macros
Just make sure you don't macro your weapon back in until tower triggers are done/you're stable.

Re: Guardian Macros
All you have to do is in ur macro box just add equip item (from drop down arrow), drag and drop armor etc from your inventory. Make two sets as you would want to change between them. Tower stone macro is as easy, again in ur macro box first drag and drop ToS ability then add another box and drag/drop a shield you want as equip item (tower only). Likewise make a macro for your weapons, for instance dual wield, add 2 boxes of equip item and then your respective weapons. Then do same if you want weapon and shield just replacing your non-main hand weapon with a shield in macro box.
As far as HOs just go with the flashing icons, mainly taunts up front and then if some1 else in gp/raid carries on with the chain more icons will blink and you just go on from there. You shouldn't have much problem in completing your own chains. I wouldn't worry too much with HO macros tbh.

Other way around, equip shield first, then call ToS.

Re: Guardian Macros
Equiping one item doesn't warrant a macro though. just drag and drop from bags. onto a free hotbar.
And if you're slack like me you get 4 of the same shield, not lore, and the ToS macro will chose a different one every time you hit it so the damage on them is spread around.
And my tos macro looks like this
/cancel_spellcast
Equip Shield
Tower of Stone (Primary checked)
/g Using tower of shield.
ok the last part I guess is irrelivant but adding /cancel_spellcast to most of the abilities you want to override anything else you're doing, like block and rescue, makes alot of sense, atleast to me.

Re: Guardian Macros
With the speed we cast our abilities/CAs you really find the cancel spell cast useful?
I am NOT blasting/flaming you. Just curious that you would find this useful. I can't remember ever being in a situation where I wasn't able to get ToS off in time due to another ability. I HAVE failed at not using it fast enough...hehehe.
To answer the opening post:
I have five ToS macros with different shields and two re-equip shield macros to swap in a fresh shield or more effective one.
Reinforcement also has a macro
You may want to set up a macro to start a heroic opportunity and immediately follow it with a CA. I haven't done this because I'm lazy...but I really should...

Re: Guardian Macros
Yes, useful. Especially on mobs with dets that reduce your casting speed and you need ToS *now* and you're in the middle of a relatively long temp buff cast.

Re: Guardian Macros
*Shrugs* I've died enough times while casting ToS to know that increasing the speed between when I push the button to when it lands probably will increase my chanses of surviving. And like Mr Kasplat said, there's enough temp buffs, item clicking etc that takes ages. And why die even once to something silly like that when one line in your macro could have prevented it.
