Im sort of a macro noob as i dont use to many, so i was wondering what other Guards use for macro setups. Always looking to improve my game and figured i would see what others have to say about macros.

you might want to macro executioners wrath to disable autoattack to not waste the crit-bonus for an autoattack. thatd be #1 executioners wrath, #2 /autoattack 0

also it might be a not so bad idea to have a groupsay when youre using DR

Im sure that i have messed up the command (can't remember)but found it as an useful alternative to TAB-- Those, "targetting an anvil in SoH" during named fight days come rushing back .

I have macros for my 3 different armor sets. One for hard core tank armor, 1 for my balanced armor and 1 for my hardcore DPS armor. I also have macros made for any raid mobs which require them and several more setup for PVP although I only hotbar those when I need them. I have a /random macro and another which tells the raid that I have the curse.

My favorite macros are actually the ones for my cure pots.
Command: /cancel_spellcast
Use Item: Dedicated Noxious Remedy

I have one of these set up for each of the 4 cure pots and I have them on a miniature vertical hotbar which is flush against my detriments window. It's very nice not having to rely on healers to cure you.

Umm, can't you just click on the dot you get? will only use the potion needed for that type of dot. will save you time and space for using and creating macros or is that an option available in custom UI only.

click to cure is for custom ui only afaik, and even then you have to set it to cancel spellcast on cure... like on profit, pressing the invisable [c] above your name in the group window.

I am not a noob, per say, but I did just ding 80 on my Guardian yesterday. I am currently (as I type this) bored out of my mind camping Agony in the Feerrott to start the HQ pre-req for my Epic. I decided to make use of the time in a more procuctive way!

I am however also a /macro noob. I solo'd all the way up to 80 with the occasional 2-3 man group to get a tough quest done. I never had to look into the group mechanics of playing a tank. (my main is a Swash). I have read, on this board, a few posts recommending that certain abilities be macro'ed together and have been in groups where the tank has macro'ed an /emote with his/her pull spell.

What, if anything, do you guys use and if someone is feeling generous today, could you post "how" to do it? I seem to have it screwed up somehow.

One more thing....Did they nerf the spawn rate on Agony? Cleared the PHs 12 times now. Geeez!


Update: The "Ill-Fated Cleric Journal" that is dropped by Agony and gives the quest "The Screaming Mace" is apparently now tradeable and available at your local super-market. This is the second time thta I have camped something for hours only to discover that it was for sale on the broker. Doh!!

Add a taunt from your abilities-- This will emote an incoming followed by a taunt if you really want to do something like that. You can try anything to your liking.

Another is to macro your tower of stone with a shield which is pretty handy.

Aye, That would come in handy. I have seen earlier in this post (and on others) where someone has macroed entire armor sets to toggle on and off. Where can I find instructions on how to use /macros?

For instance: I might like to attach an Heroic Opportunity to a Combat art and link it to a taunt.

And I would certainly like to know how to equip the shield with tower of stone ... and then re-equip my weapons after.

Did you create a new macro from scratch or use the existing Tower of Stone button?
