Default A few questions

I need a few things answered here. I use to be a HC raider all through KoS and EoF, I left the raiding scene about 6 months into EoF.Mostly from burn out, we had killed all the content. So I decided to casually group and play other games. Now I gotten myself back into raiding and MTing. We are currently working on TSO content and some of VP, so yea VP is new to me. I manage to pick up my myth though. I have all the T2 shard armor, not had any luck on the patterns for TSO, got outbidded the few times I seen the T4 forearms pattern drop.

The problem I am having, I got 5 or 6 new fabled armor pieces from the group TSO Instances. Like all of them have better health, sta, agi,and about the same mit as the T2 shard armor. But if I replace 2 of my t2 shard pieces I lose the +5 miti bonus and +3 bonus from the shoulders plus crit mit.

So I am kinda getting the feeling when I raid I'm stuck with the T2 set because of the crit bonus, atleast when im in TSO raid zones.

I remember from EoF that mitigation wasnt as important and like all tanks focused on avoidance. Standing self buffed what's a good mitigation to be at before raid time?

How much is too much mitigation? I have seen mine hit 70% mit on raids. I think when I was wearing the full set of t2 plus pally mit buff.

So yea if you didn't raid all RoK and just started in TSO what would you go with, should I still try to get the VP set, and if so what pieces? If the vp gear doesnt have crit mit is it just useless in TSO raid zones?

I still grouped in Rok so I got lots of gear from RoK instances with uncontested avoidance. I got fabled wrist item from RE2 with xtra parry chance, plus the cloak and the Re2 collection reward with the xtra chance to dodge. Is there any other gear that I might get with uncontested avoid on it?

I had thought that once you hit 60% mit that it was plenty enough but a guildie had said they had changed mit again and I should focus on getting it higher. So yea just needing some straight up answers here. Thanks

as far as I know most peeps have 2 or 3 different setups for raiding. sometimes you will have to swap some stuff out for resists. should be able to mix and match rok/tso for optimal gear. grouping and instances you can stick to the shard set but raiding is primarily a mix and match until you get 4 pcs tso.

I would agree with this. However, I don't agree with swapping out gear solely for resist purposes. It's just not necessary anymore as far as I'm concerned.

Depends on the mob... if your tanknig then no, I generally wouldnt, but if your the OT/Dpsing.. i would on mobs like trak ect where you get hit with an ae every few seconds.. Atleast your first few runs on trak.

Also Magic resist helps on the water named in the x2 if your doing it with low healage, and newbs that dont know how to cure.
