Yeah, the manastones and pacemaker are pretty cool. I'll add it.

The lifestones make for a nice "O crap" with how fast they cast, get back between 10-25% max health.

Default Re: Guardian for Dummies!

Short terms on the pull and rotation, the way i do it.

Cast Defensive minded then use Battlecry asap when the mob is engaged. DM reduces the recast on Cry a large amount, which is important 1.5 mins from now.

Right before DM is about to wear off i cast Block to take a hit (it will refresh quickly due to DM)

When Cry wears off, i cast Hunker Down as i should have Epic placed by now. Let Hunker run its course.

When Hunker wears off (roughly 1m 20s into the fight) Cry is up agian due to its reacst time off DM. Cast Cry and let it run.

About 2mins into the fight Cry will wear off and Hunker is still down for about 20s. Then ill use Plant / Block (its back up due to DM) to bridge the gap untill Hunker is agian active.

After this Hunker both DM and Cry is avaiable agian to start repeating the cycle.

Also i will use Guardian Sphere alot before AEs. ACT usually places mobs autoattacks rounds at about ~2s each. So im assuming every auto-attack Stoneskinned (as it does proc alot with MT buffage) buys me and my healers 2s of Ward/Damage intake time. Persoannly i can tell it soften the damage intake when it is active, so i use it often as ToS/Block/Ward Myth/Soulward are usually enough to save my ass when i need it.

Can I get a breakdown of what adornments I should be looking for on my equipment. In the write up it mentions about a couple but I am what this post was made for ( A Dummy ) and I would like to make sure I dont waste any plats on the wrong shit.

Thanks for your help, great thread BTW.

"Adornments
Head: Smoldering Savvy Imprint (+16 wis)
Chest: Smoldering Prismatic Applique (+7 to all stats)
Legs: Smoldering Gritty Brace (+16 sta)
Feet: Smoldering Agile Spurs (+16 agi)
Cloak: Smoldering Metaphysical Lining (+4 in-combat mana regeneration)
Shoulders: Scintillating Rugged Straps (+100 hp)
Forearms: Smoldering Reinforced Splint (+77 mitigation)
Hands: Smoldering Agile Stitching (+16 agi)
Belt: Smoldering Spry or Smoldering Combative Buckle (+3 atk speed or +30 CA dmg)
Neck: Smoldering Judicious Clasp (+12 dps mod)
Earrings: whatever resists you need
Rings: Smoldering Rugged Polish (+100 hp)
Wrists: Smoldering Balanced Fastening (3% parry)
Primary: Smoldering Ayr Stone (3% riposte)
Shield: Lambent Balanced Strut (1% shield effectiveness)
Secondary Weapon: Smoldering Phantom Handle (power proc)
Ranged: Smoldering Judicious Composite Gear (+12 dps mod)"

Fungie, might wanna check into this.

The discription of this adornment is incorrect. looked it up in game and it is still the broken "+1% block chance".

The "+ Block chance" like this adornment and the Wrathbringer barbute were broken when TSO was released and block mods were changed to +Effectivness. a few items with "+X block chance" were broken so the effect basicly does nothing. we bitched about it in beta but SOE never converted them into the new mechanic.

Personally due to this i run with +77 mits on my sheild.

Is that why it still adds avoidance?

i have a wrathbringer barbute with +5 sheld block chance on it. when equipted, my actual Block Effectivness does not go up. and my Block in persona increases .2%. so i use +77 mit.

Just saying to me it seems broken.

lol... and you really think +77 mitt is doing anything to your mitt? with + mitt base mods 77 mitt is nothing and it's not uncontested as block is. yes it's lame but it's uncontest, the only other adorn i would contemplate using is the heal proc but with mobs in raids hitting for 5k+ it seems useless as well.

edit.

Primary: Smoldering Ayr Stone (3% riposte)
Secondary Weapon: Smoldering Phantom Handle (power proc)

i would say that both main and off hand should be 3% riposte if both are slashing, if not then power proc is good.
