I havent seen a "warrior" 1h spear. I just swap in and out Mayong's hammer and Spear of the might grutan (matron spear).
Parry cap is 455. All skills are capped at 455. There's a thought that skills if buffed higher then cap work better verse mobs above your level. Its a hard one to test, but its a theory.
Example: 10k mitigation = 75% (cap) mit vs lvl 70 mob, but 10k mit vs a lvl 74 mob = 65%. So getting to 12k mitigation would = 75% mit vs lvl 74 mob. Which was the idea in KoS when mitigation was so easily capped. The numbers are all make believe, but illustrate the point.
455 = cap vs lvl 70 mob. So having 500 parry would actually be "cap" vs a lvl 75 mob. This would be relatively difficult to test, or at least would take more effort than i care to put into it. I'm happy thinking i'm at cap with 455+ parry, or defense, or slashing, or crushing... etc

Re: Best way to spend achievement points?
Grind - I decided to go down the Executioner line as you've done. For the second one, I can't decide between the AGI line and the Buckler reversal line. I think the entire buckler concept is retarded from a role play perspective, but my swag is that I do what appears to be twice the dps with a buckler than without. I'm cool with just going with the best pragmatic result.
For someone who is only trying to end up with a guard I can try to pimp out as much as possible and ultimately two box some x2s, am I better off with AGI or Buckler Reversal?

Re: Best way to spend achievement points?
I would say reversal for the dps. Get the riposte ability maxed out below it and you will still have good avoid with the buckler on. Anyway to kill shit faster 2 boxing is the way to go.

Re: Best way to spend achievement points?
Grevious got it.
You can either kill the mob with damage, or heal it dead.
Going sta will be the damage approach, where as agi will be more of the healing it dead approach.
With the ideal of 2-boxing x2 encounters, sta 4/5/8/8. str 4/4/8/8. The last 8 in str are up to you. They are just extra hate gain, which may not nessecary if your only 2-boxing. you'd have a few other options where to dump them. maybe even 4/4/8/6/2 to get the crit bonus when under 50%.

Let us not forget the ultra-cool Executioner title, my favorite of them all.

Re: Best way to spend achievement points?
I went a bit differentway than most here, with my guardian tree i am the exact same as grind. For the warrior tree though i stayed with STA and went down INT, but i am switching to agil till i get my third piece of gear.
I hold agro easily and i am tanking everything with ease. I know that block with a tower shield is awesome but to me i am not seeing it as a thing that is needed if you are well geared up.
I can get my hps to 14k raid buffed and my avoidance to around 65% with my mit sitting at 5989.
But to be honest here i have not switched to tower to see if there is a really huge difference but from watching the other tanks in the guild that are str/agi set up and talking to the healers i am still takeing way less damage and holding agro awesomely.
Not even close to as well geared as grind but i am well fabled out with shoulders and gloves from eof and just waiting on the third piece to drop for the +10 defence then i will be at max on parry and def. (me switching to agil will fix this and i will be max in both.)

Re: Best way to spend achievement points?
I run with my AA's specced for pure dps and very easily tank all of KoS at least using mostly a buckler and swapping to towershield for spike damage. Admittedly my guild hasn't started raiding EoF yet so I suppose my thinking and methodology might be skewed but my spec works well for me.
4-4-8 in str/sta/int
Only thing I'd think about changing would be to add some points into the fourth bit of the STA line.
I find my self very close to cap for my defense/parry skills without having to boost them through AA's. Parsing between 1.5-2k dps and embarassing my dps has worked well for me. As we move into EoF and I get a better feel for tanking in those zones I may rethink/respec.
Also, I'd just like to add my opinion that AA spec seems really reliant on your raidforce and playstyle. Seems like people do well with all varieties of AA specs. Well, just my $0.02.

Re: Best way to spend achievement points?
Oddly enough I'm spec'd mirror image of Grinds atm. Aggro does tend to be an issue on short duration encounters where my mages and scouts are still trying to top the parce but hey...Tower of Ranger down! Anyway, I find that for multiple mob encounters hitting Plant, Reinforcement, switch to spear, Dragoon Spin, back to axe, Goading Assault, Besiege is all it takes to lock down an encounter.....obviously you must still cycle through the mobs just in case...but you know what I mean. The longer the encounter the more the Str/Agi line makes sense.
As a side note, I recently switched from buckler line and to be 100% honest I'm not seeing a huge monumental difference in survivability, yet I am seeing a massive difference in DPS and agro control (bear in mind that I would swap from buckler to tower shield for the harder named). Sure the extra 12 seconds of invulnerability is nice but I'm not sure it warrants the loss of aggro control. And also, the playability...i.e. the fun of playing my toon decreases with str/agi spec. Shrug....I'm sure I'll notice a difference somewhere.
I’ve probably spent 400pp on respects, and to be honest almost all combinations have their merit. I think it comes down to what you are comfortable with. If you can stay buckler and survive then buckler is for you…etc.
