Well yea, if you have leaders that don't do anything about it. If I was a leader of a guild, where performance and doing the very end game content meant everything to everyone in the guild, then things like attendance and seniority wouldn't mean a whole lot. Atleast not enough to keep them around. Not saying I'd go as far as to just boot them after a few bad performances, but you could have talks to these people one on one and explain to them the situation. Advise them to work on their performance by talking to others, or whatever means neccesary. You could go as far as having a baseline that people need to meet, maybe not every encounter, every zone, or even every night, but on average over a period of time or something. Make this very clear to them when they join the guild, so there are no surprises. I know this doesn't sound friendly, and I agree with you, that this does hold alot of guilds back. But while these players are pissing off the raid leader, the raid leader is pissing off the other players by not doing anything about it.
