No one really hit on this, but you will also see stats on gear like 45 divine, 87 poison. These are resists and they add to your mit against those types of damage. Basically you dont need to worry about these stats until late 30's or so. Focus mainly getting the highest mitigation gear you can until then. And when looking for gear you want gear with Sta, str, and agi above anything else.
