Default GU 36 -- Guardian changes

Warrior

* Strength 5 - Executioner's Fury: Also increases Taunting by 15%.
* Agility 3 - Dragoon's Cyclone: Increased area autoattack chance from 3% to 5% per rank.
* Agility 5 - Dragoon's Reflexes: Improved reuse speed from 10 minutes to 3 minutes, and also grants temporary non-direct area effect avoidance.
* Stamina 3 - Gladiator's Finesse: First rank begins with a 25% bonus, then increases by 5% with each following rank.
* Stamina 4 - Gladiator's Revenge: Removed block bonus: Increases Riposte Chance by 1% per rank instead.
* Stamina 5 - Perseverance: Renamed to Arena Endurance: Increased health gain ratio from 15% to 20% of all power consumed.
* Wisdom 5 - Stance Mastery: Also removes penalties associated with Hunker abilities and its upgrades.
* Intelligence 2 - Acceleration Strike: Is now a melee attack that triggers additional 25% Haste/Casting/Recovery speed after 3 additional combat arts.
* Intelligence 5 - Relentless Assault: Increased reuse speed bonus to 12%.


Guardian

* Tower of Stone: Now has a percentage chance to trigger (100% at Master I), Mitigation is now calculated in determining if the Stoneskin triggers its damage threshold. Damage done to shields has been removed. Trigger count reduced to 2.

Buckler nerf, agility and intelligence lines buffed

Going to make it interesting with less double attack and the lower hate transfer percentages.

Sooo time to spec back to str/agi and sell all but 2 of my tower shields.

I'm not all that upset about these changes. I've wanted a reason to drop buckler line for a while now. The improvement to cyclone is pretty enticing for the ae threat argument.

My only concern with going full tower spec post-patch is that they're also nerfing nearly all deaggros and all threat buffs. So I'm curious how SOE expects raids to maintain 30k+ dps with the changes.

What they should've done is left everything alone and just given Sorcs some useful deaggros, or given fighters some increased threat gain themselves to go with the other changes.

Its pretty baffling to see on paper atm, will be interesting to see how it plays out once live.

I think thats the point. They want the game to take longer. They want lower dps.

This way the expansion when they give us back our 23% hate transfers, and our 35k raid dps, we'll be all happy.

So we get to be level 80 and do just as much as we did at lvl 70! :P

I think all that extra block to the buckler was bullshit to begin with totally defeated the purpose it was all but another tower anyhow with that maxed. Definelty where it needs to be with that change to actually sacrifice a good bit of avoidance for alot more dps makes a whole hell of a lot of sense. I hold aggro now with 30k+ raid dps with str and agi no reason why I cant post patch that you and the OT go nuts on each trash and not slack its easy. ToS change is fine with me 2 hits is still nothing to frown on with not taking any damage to the shield that frees up a ton of bag space love the changes.

Aye I'm capable of holding aggro with a tower atm if I want to on trash if we aren't missing certain classes. But after the patch when every threat deaggro/buff is essentially halved that may change. I think regardless with agi my ae threat will improve.

Overall I'm not upset at all with the changes made to Guardians in lu36, I'm however a little weary about the changes made to other classes and what implications that will have for us on raids.

EDIT: Yes, the extra hotbar space will be fantastic. I can go back from 8 hotbars to 7.

Well it will be interesting I do remember when my warlock was my main from release until about 2 months before KoS release is how I never used my deaggro abilities for the most part it is not needed. Yes I did use them once they fixed them a bit specially on ae encounters but single target specifically never even touched them as I would assume is the same for most all classes. If that is how I assume it to be should be no issues at all.

Personally I think the nerf on the STA line to be bullshit, even though for the last week I have been using my towershield and I held agro np at 37k , by them nerfing the STA like this it will make all guardians carbon copies of one another and not let there be a difference. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

If they change the sta line like this they should take out the buckler restriction and allow anyone to choose that line seeing that max double attack will now only be 60% of the time. By them nerfing GR it would also removes an increase of block chance a towershield can do but allow you extra reposts 8%. <o:p></o:p>

This would make the agil and sta line competitive at least, sta for single target hate increase while agil now has a 40% chance to attack all mobs in the area. In all reality the AGIL line has more DPS potential with groups which is 70% of the time, but this allows for choice.<o:p></o:p>

Also for those complaining about taunt reduction look at STR Line EF increases your taunts by 15% take it and stop complaining.

In the end if they do this to the STA line wihtout removing the buckler restriction there will be no choice. This will not hurt any raid geared guardian who can tank with a towershield but anyone who wants to have fun solo ect this will hurt.
