StoneShield Bulwark vs. Scaled Shield of Growth

I was wondering what you all thought would be a better tower shield to use in those fights that can get a little crazy. I would personally lean a little more towards SSoG just because i am getting a lot of heals and proc % is higher while 2% is on the low side and debuffs will make the chance to proc go down even more. Do dirge or templar proc buffs affect either of these?

Dirge/templar abilities do not affect the Bulwark, but do affect the Scaled shield.

I use the bulwark over the scaled shield. They are both comparable, but the bulwark imo is better by a small amount.

More hps overall, adds mit, more avoidance over all, and better resists.

The effect on the scaled shield is nice, but i'm not entirely sure how that stacks with the healers increase in healing amount, which i'm under the impression has a cap.

Overall, bulwark is a better shield. if only it didnt have a T1 tower shield graphic.

The healing amount does jack shit for people who aren't using the scaled shield of growth. The buff goes on the person getting healed, as in as a guardian it would improve your heals by up to 100, which well do you even have any heals?

Overall, I would say the Bulwark is better, because it has 2% stoneskin, with more HP, and only slightly less block.

I guess its a matter of wording on the proc. The effect on the shield to me means healing spells heal 100 pnts more.

I've never taken the time to investigate it. I wouldnt be surprised if what your suggesting is true Pinski.

Either way the Bulwark is better.

bulwark is best shield in the game hands down for defensive tanking, u just cant beat stoneskin no matter how small 2% might seem to you

Aye I cant wait for the damn thing to drop for me 0 for 4 on it now. Very very few fights would i see myself using the scaled shield over that one. Scaled shield will make a good ToS eater for named fights then.
