Help me get the most out of my Guard

I'm currently raid tanking KOS content for my guild, and want to get the most out of my guard as I move to the higher KoS content. I think I'm decently geared for where I'm at. Here is the story.
I was str/sta speced, but when I got back from travel and the hate nerfs went in, I didnt hold agro as well as normal in lyceum. The typical answer is AGI for grp agro, but I tried that one before and the single target agro sucked, so I went back to the buckler.
So what I did (as yet untested in a raid - labs is tonight), is go STR/INT, and I camped in CMM to get the defender kite shield that procs taunts, and put a damage shield arornment on it. (str 4/4/7/8 int 4/4/8/8/2)
This shield & parry gives me better avoidance than the buckler, helping survivability, and since I pick up haste from int, and the shield procs, do you think will I be just as well off hate-wise on single targets as buckler? I do have the bulwark of the vetran from unrest for when I need more protection.
I'd like to have rock solid hate (I know MT grp matters, I want to do as much of my part as I can). Looking for suggestions.
With the kite shield, stats with my "standard" gear self buffed is MIT 4700 (58.9%), avoidance 8350 (58.4% - block is 22.7)
What I'm interested in is the best build for my current gear - I know better gear will change the story.
Gear Summary - entry level fabled (doomrage peices & chest of fiery might) with a few class legendary peices I'm still using. I have most of the claymore rewards (earcog is next step) and the lucanic gladius (Have velucidea's too, but I like the extra block on gladius).

if you want to use your defender kite shield i would spec str 4/4/8, agi 4/7/8/4/2, int 4/4 or something like that. the kite shield will probably help you alot with aggro and you dont need your buckler anymore. str gives you melee crit which is really nice (especially with a high delay weapon), 40% ae attack via agi line (you get dragoon reflexes if you go down the agi line, can be very useful :p) and you can almost keep up the 25 haste of accerlation strike from the int line. this all affects your auto attack on groups and i think together with the kiteshield (group taunt proc) it will make things easier for you.

try it out, but remember that everyone needs to find the best setup for himself!

There's no way a hate proc can equal the hate of the DPS a buckler puts out - not even in the same ball park, not even remotely, not even close.

BUT - if you're just takling single target... you can hold that aggro with even an AGIL/INT spec, tower shield and three healers.

yeah, but if he wants to use the kite shield because of more survivabilty i think he would go pretty well with a setup like this.
with a similar setup in a raid i can do on solo raidmobs (in mt group) about 1,5k+ dps, and i dont think that a buckler would improve that much. if you're buckler specced you have to give up int or agi or str and i dont want to miss any of them ;P but i repeat, everyone should find the best setup for himself!
