Default Returning from 2 1/2 year hiatus, couple of questions

Howdy all, i re-installed EQ2 last week after not playing since march 05, and i'm just wondering if people still do the original content quests? ( i.e AQ's, Heritage etc) or are most alts that just skip them due to there being better and easier stuff available?

Just wondering cause i'm a lvl 30 paladin with some up to lvl gear, and alot of sub-par gear ( with like 10gp in the bank, hurrah! =p)

Do i bother trying to quest these? or should i go about lvling instead?

If anyone's up for some questing, or just some tips and advice for a paladin re-learning his shit, drop me a line!

Kalmy : 30 Paladin on Guk ( prev Tox)

P.S I don't have any expansions, and only the Bloodlines Adv pack

Well I would definitely recommend getting the new expansion, Rise of Kunark. It comes with all the expansions and Adventure Packs. There will be some people re-rolling due to racial ability changes, and seeing as it is all new gear and zones you can find peeps your level looking for new shiny armor as well.

I think the AQ quests are obsolete nowadays, most people level so fast. I've only leveled alts, fast at that, and skip a lot of those things. Sometimes I might go back and do an HQ or something, mentoring for the last step, because they are good AA... but other than that I usually don't bother with a lot of those quests. I don't usually quest on my chars until about mid 40s and do the sinking sands quests. I won't have vitality by that point, and it's AA. Doing this, I'll still have a decent amount of AA by the time my character nears 70. Theres a lot of quests to do once your getting into the late 50s and 60s level ranges.

It's not like it used to be. I remember when people were always looking for groups to do the AQs... I haven't seen that in a long time.
