The question I have is this... all the emails and talks Chandrok had with people... were these sanctioned by SOE as a part of some "investigation" or was he acting on his own authority without having the backing of SOE.

This thread not only delivers, but it adds free sides of chips, free soft drink, free chocolate brownies and icecream and free gimp to keep under the stairs. And popcorn, of course.

That said, I can't help but be faintly disturbed when reading it. It's like rubbernecking at an accident site - you know you're looking for gore and body count, but you feel guilty for wanting to see it because that's wrong on so many levels. Many people who've posted on this thread would not be out of place on medieval witch hunts, public hangings or stonings etc.

I'm very interested to see how it turns out, especially the investigations into the GM. As for Yuyoy, I think he's made his bed and is now going to have to lie in it, based on the evidence presented here. No matter what happens now, he's lost - he'd be better off rerolling anonymously and leaving this all behind him. Funny, I kinda felt sorry for the guy in the opening stages, he almost sounded rational until he pulled that bull posting as someone else and then the real him shone through

Thats what SOE are investigating.

The SOE petition system lists all the petitions in date order, and then the name of the character and the account IDs listed like an excel spreadsheet.

The GMs are supposed to pick up the cases oldest first, so people get responded to ASAP. This is easily bypassed by just pressing F8, scrolling down the petition list and picking any petition that they like.

Chandrok is suspected of picking up Yuyoys petitions out of the que first, and responding to all of them in his favor. Meaning if Yuyoy petitions against you, dont be surprised if less than a day later you have an email from Chandrok.

Thats a rule breaker right there, picking petitions at random -> Dicipline action as GMs arent allowed to skip people out of the que.

GMs just have to press F4 for the ability to search a specific word in a petition, so he could simply type something like "Yuyoy" in the find section and it brings up ALL petitions with that word in it. So if we petition saying "Yuyoy is a f4g", Chandrok will pick it up and either delete it, or respond favoring Yuyoy again. They can be deleted without trace too as they arent audited, a major flaw in the SOE petitioning system. Insider abuse wasnt exactly what they were expecting, but non the less this is proof that it happens

Think about it.

How many of you have had emails from Chandrok less than 24 hours after a Yuyoy experience? Im gathering a lot.

A bit strange when currently the average petition response time accross all SOE MMORPGS is 3 days.

So in answer to your question Shianne, I would say Chandrok is a rogue without the backing of SOE, or even SOE having the knowledge hes been doing this.

wait... what your basically saying is gm's have a free ride ticket straight into your ass if they want to?

if true then soe seriously needs to stop that crap and monitor everything the gm's do.

Short of creating a database or program that can list and record every petition a GM actions, and then studying the results theres nothing SOE can do.

It would be great if they could, but that takes time, money, and man-hours. They would have to employ people to study that data.

I cant see SOE spending money when they obviously feel they dont need to monitor it. Unfortunately the only people that get ass-invaded is the consumer.

Hmm well... I can still view every petition I have submitted since 10/31/2006 along with the responses from the GMs by going to Help/Service History/Questions. Unfortunately, the GMs who answered my petitions about Yuyoy were GM Vensid and GM Deodan (who blatantly ignored any "proof" that was sent in in the form of /reports and ignored my response that those reports were sent and I also had screenshots.)

The thing with Chandrok was him sending me a tell saying that there were many chat disturbances regarding the character Yuyoy and the CS Staff would appreciate it if we would leave him alone as it was getting frustrating to deal with the repetitive problem.
(Easy Solution, get rid of Yuyoy, problem gone).

But needless to say if a petition was responded to and I can view records of mine that far back, then SOE should be able to as well. They are time and date stamped as to when they were answered as are the originating petitions.

It took 11 hours to get a response on the last Yuyoy petition I sent in. It took 36 minutes for the previous one. It took Chandrok a week to send tells to me, in game mail to Seit, Cloud, Sassy, etc.

Not defending the guy here by any means.

I just think basically he waited to get a list of names that good Ole Jerry could remember and decided to log in and have a pow wow in tells and mails.
