Didn't need fixing. I was taking issue with Mike placing all of the blame on Keigo, a single man, and none on Jen, his wife who had promised to be faithful to him for as long as they lived. I understand you had to edit my post in order to further your agenda, but you didn't "fix" anything, you manipulated it to meet your needs rather than allowing it to speak to what was originally intended.

I knew what you were saying, but from an outside (and experienced) perspective I must say that you've got it all wrong.

The two people to blame are Mike, for letting his relationship crumble and manipulating Jen, and Keigo, for manipulating Jen for his own nefarious purposes. Based on the situation, I find it hard to place any blame on Jen.

ALL ethics are situational, none are absolute. She may have promised to be faithful to him...but that includes emotional as well as physical. Mike net.sexing with other players behind her back was a breach of the marriage contract just as much as her actions with Keigo were. Mike's actions in repeated suicide attempts were blatant violations of his vow to love, honor, and cherish his wife - suicide (even attempts) harm the loved ones of the coward committing the act much more than it does the actor.

Nothing happened in a vacuum. One cannot simply say "she was married and shouldn't have done it". Extenuating circumstances exist. Relatively, Jen is the most innocent party in this mess, based on what I've heard about Keigo's past/current M.O.

The people saying that it's wrong no matter what are people who aren't very well versed in real life and/or adhere to some unattainable moral code that no one can ever live up to.

I have no agenda. I just see a bunch of people looking at this from a pure black/white perspective and not seeing the shades of grey.

Most innocent does not = innocent. She still fucked another man while married. Sure there's a lot of manipulation happening, but does she not have a brain? You can talk about emotional distress blah blah, but if all women can be excused as being too stressed to think, then why the fuck were they granted any rights? People have to be accountable for their own actions.

Yeah, he broke the marriage vows first, but that does not nullify the entire marriage, it was never declared to be an open marriage, so it was still wrong.

Edit: This isn't to say Mike didn't have it coming, but just because someone deserves something doesn't excuse you from doing fucked up. I.E. If dude stole your car, that doesn't mean that you hitting him in the face with a tire iron doesn't make you fucked up, even though he probably deserved it.

When it comes to "fuck someone other than your husband" or "don't fuck someone other than your husband", yeah its pretty black and white.

Its fairly simple. If you don't want to be with your husband anymore, you get the hell out. Anyone with even the most basic knowledge of psychology knows that "If you leave me I'll kill myself" is bullshit. People who are going to kill themselves will just DO it. In fact, it seems at one time he was going to try to off himself whether she stayed with him or not.

So you get out, help them get help, and THEN go fuck around.

There is no excuse for betraying your spouse. None. Innocent victims find a women's shelter or counseling. Chicks who just want an excuse to bang someone else pull what she did.

Exactly. If you don't think there is any blame to place on Jen, you are a fucking moron. Staying committed to a partner is not part of an unattainable moral code just because you might find it hard to not fuck someone else while you are married. It is part of what is right, and cheating is part of what is wrong, period. Jen committed adultery, adultery is wrong, it's black-and-white (no pun intended).
