I do have one question though for ya, if the entire dev team of eq2 leaves who will you stick up for then .............. the people you say can do no wrong or their ex-employers SOE?

I'm surprised people don't recognize a bit of sarcasm when they see it. However, the fact that people actually get angry over what I post is amazing, really, and a bit sad, too. We're talking about a game, a game we all generally enjoy playing, so why should you care if someone who enjoys playing that game actually defends it? Or is it simply not cool to be anything but bitter and cynical?

Furthermore, you act like I go out of my way to defend SOE at every turn. This is of course, not true. I do defend them against many of the more outrageous or unjustified attacks, but equally, I disagree with them on many design issues in EQ2. However, I at least try to present my criticisms in a constructive manner, as opposed to calling the devs names. Perhaps I should make a point to include more 'homos', 'retards', and 'douchebags' in my posts? Is that what gets respect around here?

Just do what I do. Be yourself, and don't care whether you are considered popular or not.

You rub people the wrong way. Even if you are right, you word things in such a way that it never turns out to be constructive. People will always post against you just because you piss them off.

You did it on the official forums also. Except here, people can respond to you without being slapped by mods.

Part of being constructive is leaving your opinion open to the point where you just might be wrong, that way, people feel comfortable responding to you with their argument. You post with such arrogance that I'm not surprised that people call you names.

Yes, I said all those things, and given the tone of this forum, I assumed that sort of thing was acceptable. Am I mistaken? It is hard to really gauge what is considered appropriate behavior on these forums.

Fair enough, I will try to tone down the arrogance, although often times, I am unaware I am even doing anything that people might take offense to, as I read my own writing with the tone and inflection I intend. I am not (always) trying to come off as some know-it-all, although I do have fairly strong opinions on many issues related to EQ2 and MMOs in general, and will not hesitate to share them.

You want to earn some respect around here you can start by removing any visage of anonymity.

Tell these folks your forum handle on the official boards. Also in-game character, guild, server, etc.
