People get upset. People know that a well though out rational post will get you no where with them. People know that a "you suck SOE" posted by multiple players will get them to react.
Well, you get the picture.

It's also therapeutic I heard

I don't have enough nerd rage to live or die by SoE actions, but sure they piss me off often and I'm not so hard to accomodate, but in the end I just pick my course of action just by what I feel like doing at the moment, despite what SoE just said (or failed to say).
I must suck at playing probably and fail to see the good things in each class, but I still see in game issues that are there since November 2004 and it's irritating to say the least.
For someone who played EQ2 for quite a while and have experienced all the changes in it, I think that SoE does not know what to do sometimes, maybe it's a 'damned if you do - damned if you don't' situation, what do I know? I'm just a peon that used to like eq2 in eof (a lot) and now I'm bored to the point of falling asleep (literally) after the 5th solo mob of the day.
Maybe it's just burnout, but how is it that I was literally waiting to go home for a good night of playing till November 12 and started to feel bored 24-48 hours later? Personal taste I guess.
