And knowing he could have avoided all this had he not been a fucking tool bag is just retarded, any good guild leadership would have said hey man do you have the 100p for this guy, cause it would be to our advantage and yours if you just pay him and AVOID being suspended, esp. considering you just got off suspension.

I mean I have a great sense of humor, if any of my guild members or myself had done this to an actual legit player I would have laughed about it than given the guy his plat.. but apparently Cochy plays by example and if Disso tolerates this from members than I guess its no big deal to be an embarrasment to everyone but yourselves.

IF a guild member of mine does something that may hinder us I will say something cause it is in best intrest of the guild, and like I said if shit like that is tolertated and its cool for ppl to be absent 12 days or w/e for being a complete dumbshit than w/e. I've never heard of Noble Gravediggers having any botters, certainly none that lasted long--I'm actually pretty sure you're thinking of The Whistling *Morticians*. (The mistake is understandable as morticians are easy to mix up with gravediggers, but I don't think you should give the wrong guild the 'bot' label.)

Also, everyone who wants to label Dreeg stupid, first consider that English is not his first language (but no he is not a botter). Then think about the situation, and the fact that the only sign that couldn't have been missed through the set-up of his UI and sound system is the button that says "duel bet" (the top of the window, on the other hand, still says "Trade."). Don't forget that English isn't his first language and he's excited about getting 100 plat.

Not being used to the duelbet mechanism is ignorance, not stupidity, and there's nothing wrong with being ignorant of a game, let alone a largely irrelevant and un-used feature of a game. Dreeg is a nice guy who plays very casually, and maybe doesn't know all the ins and outs of the game. (Hell, I play almost obsessively and had never seen a duel bet window until today, because of this very incident.)

If you still want to call him an idiot, then I hope that you've never made a silly mistake or misread a word (in a second language) in your life, because that's basically what you're using to say he's stupid. Personally, I think it's more likely that you can't get your e-peen hard without boosting your ego by looking down on someone else.

No one made someone quit. Its funny that you'd imply I even have the power to make someone quit. They chose to quit on their own.

I also wasn't the only way who thought harvesting mushrooms over and over for broken xp gain was lame btw, just saying.

As far as any decisions hindering CL, I don't feel we've been hindered as we've been progressing just fine /shrug.

After reading everyone's replies I have to say...Lesson Review:

1. Cochy believes that the end justifies the means. If his guild keeps him guilded than they believe the same and this will become a part of their guild rep.

2. Don't rip off legit players even if you think they are easy targets.

Calaglin I see where you support what Cochy did because you feel it's an ingame mechanic working as intended. It's not intended for ripping off players. Trade scamming...definition...agreeing to the terms of a specific trade of an item in trade for money in game. Nowhere in the trade was a duel bet agreed to beforehand. Therefore what cochy did was wrong. He may have seen that player was a noob and possibly that English was not his first language. Just because English is not the first language of player does not mean that they are a plat farmer.

On crushbone we have quite a few Spanish guilds. Just because English is not their first language does constitute them as botters or plat farmers.

This does hurt Disso because with Cochy being suspended quite constantly lately they lose their assassin. Most legit good raid guilds would have let him go over this crap or at most would have docked him dkp and made him sit even longer once he was back in game and possibly demoted him plus still made him pay the plat or possibly paid the plat for him and they docked it from him somehow.

Yes this does make Disso look worse as far as guild reps go. If they don't care then oh well...nothing to be done about that.

After seeing this I suspect some people will refuse to business with Cochy in the future over not wanting to get scammed by him. He will now be known as an unsavory player with no conscience who will scam and rip people off and not feel sorry.

To those who support what he did....well guess you have no moral or ethics either gratz. Hope the people on Nektulos are taking notes on who to put on ignore and not do business with along with the other folks form other servers who support Cochy.

Cochy you know sweetheart you will be banned soon if you keep this up....hope you wise up and fly straight. If not...well...start searching for another game to play.
