Well not to jump sides, but i didnt convince a bot to sell me Insolent Gibe for 5 plat before, he even met up with me in SS with his little crew on autofollow.

That appears to be the only way to prevent better geared players from using this tactic to trick lower level players out of items.

Hmmm bots can talk and move and meet people just like anyone else. I'm also sorry to break it to you, but from my experience I dont think that MOST of the RMT business is even funded by bots who cant speak english.

I pretty much already described how for myself at least I put them on my hit list.

Walk through a dungeon, see people auto-following in a bunch of treasure/MC gear, gank botter.../ all noble gravedigger, go to broker, search members of noble gravediggers to see whats for sale b/c botter have trends in sales, contact suspect...its realy not rocket science and people have been doing this same thing since t6.

I have to agree. If I was in a guild and found out a guildmate did this to a noob, even as a regular guild member I'd send the person who got cheated 100 p out of my own pocket.

To Psykil I find it surprising that for someone who feels Disso is wrong for keeping me guilded didn't do shit about Daray macroing the Bellywhumper quest. Or was that one of those it's only cheating if you get caught kind of deals.

Hey Donkey, the time between the first post of this thread and when you posted the suspension is 5 days. You had a whole 5 days to do the right thing, you decided not to. Maybe Sony would have saw that you gave him the plat and gave you a warning instead.

You were in the wrong and SoE decided that way also. You don't expect this kind of childish behavior from someone in a top WW guild. I guess when you get booted or quit, Disso members will come here and flame you and say you sucked and good riddance.
Maybe you will leave with the guild bank. Seems like you exhibit that kind of behavior and think its cool. Then all the people who are defending you in this thread will magically flip flop when its the same friggin thing.

Flip flopping would be saying that what he did was wrong. Not that he sucks. If we gave him permission to our guild bank and he stole everything, then yes shame on us.

Ok, so Dissolution is a bot guild?

Generally, when you see one Disso guy, there are 20 others, trooping mindlessly behind him. They have a disproportionate amount of platinum on their server, alot of it gleaned from playing many hours doing the same thing over and over. They disrupt the server and zones, holding down spawns and not letting others utilize it. And, if you have a conversation with them, that doesn't actually matter, heck, it actually proves they ARE a bot.

I guess when I think bot, I am thinking an automated character, with no human at the keyboard controlling it. Kind of like, robotic.

Agreeing to a trade and then duelbetting someone is ripping them off. Even if you're so magically convinced they're a botter.

Last I checked ESL and multi-boxing isn't against the rules.

Scamming people certainly is though, just ask your assassin when he gets back from suspension, that is if you can catch him before he is gone again.

Cochy has been on for more than I have. I missed 2 weeks b/c i got married on nov. 17th, should they have booted me as well? or followed the same attendance rules for everyone the same?

Its fucking bullshit your even bringing Disso as a whole into this especially with CLs track record of exploiting as well as their attendance policies. As soon as cochy or even myself for that matter is deactive for the necessary cycles the guild has instated we would be gone no matter what the situation. Personal business is completely a moot point.

Dreeg has no need to post here. He's a mature person, of integrity, and moral standard. He's above coming to your level and took the situation to the right people.

I hope more people do the same of this. It may mean there "might" be some not so substantiated suspensions. However, in the long wrong, they (SOE) may only change the way the duel bet window appears. For now, the thief' and scammers are at bay.

Rather than whine you were suspended wrongfully take some time to figure out how you are in the wrong. No "if".

The way this scam was done to Dreeg is really no different than a quick change scam artist ripping off cashiers IRL. You know, the kind of guy who would ask for "can I get two tens for my five please" or just outright switch the bill initially shown with what gets handed to the cashier. The cashier may be somewhat at fault for not being more careful, but in a busy shift, with other things on their mind, this is going to happen. What the scam artist did was take advantage of the cashier being busy, nervous, distracted, etc.

And IRL, this is a crime - even when not successful, it's still the crime of intent to defraud.
