Known Botter guild? Weak defense Cochy, Noble Gravediggers have been around forever, 90 some accounts, over 300 chars. They used to run J-Boots tours for noobs back when I started. Nothing about them says RMT guild.

So, you think it's peachy to gank any of these 300 some chars based on what?

Hell, the idiot had a Lord title, what RMT goon wastes plat on that?

You ganked an ESL noob, and you went there fully intending to, regardless of who he was or what guild he was in.

Weak shit.

If you feel like selling masters: roll a Brigand, then l2duel.

It's a pretty shitty thing, but again as numerous people have said

1. A giant pole pops up right by you.

2. A sound plays that iirc is only specific to a duel challenge.

3. A big circle forms around you.

Now if after those three obvious warnings you still blindly click accept then at that point it's your fault. That's like the Pop up message you get with no-trade items, a huge big message pops up with big bold letters saying the item is NO TRADE yet people still roll on loot they shouldn't roll on, honest mistake? maybe, stupid mistake? denftly.

Own up to your choices, next time don't just blindly click accept imho.

To put it simply, it's a dumb trick that dumb people fall for.

All true, but, the stupidity of the victim isn't a valid defense for scamming. The very nature of scamming requires a certain bit of stupidity on the part of the mark to succeed.

The question is not if the victim is stupid. He obviously is. For more then one reason.

The question is if Cochy is a retard for even trying this on a non bot person. And nope, Language alone can never be the only indicator. I am sure at least Cochy has been around long enough to read the many posts about how to recognise a bot ....etc...or am I wrong Cochy, and should we consider you a harmless noob?

I've run into more then one RMT plat farmer in Noble Gravediggers before, I think they need to police their ranks and do some pruning. In an alternate reality where I was going to plat farm for cash I would try to join one of the large "open invite" guilds just to cover my tracks better.

100p for a master is not out of the question.... Disso wants to raid now not later so they need their masters now and not later. The true definition of Supply Vs Demand is if I have a supply I demand you pay as much as possible for it.

If a petition hasn't been sent by now I'm willing to toss a botter name tag on this guy and walk away.

He actually asked Cochy if he was evil..... as if Assassins can be good.... as if Cochy isn't evil no matter what class he plays.

Cochy agreed to pay 100pp. That's the price of the master. Now, if his word's not as valuable as the piss from his cock, fine.

I'm assuming Cochy, like most raiders, was /anon, or at least /role. I don't find it a problem that the victim asked if he was evil. He probably just wanted to use his CoQ instead of his call to Maj'dul.

I'll assume that Cochy circled behind Dreeg for a quick decapitate assuming he fell for the con. He wouldn't have seen the blue circle around Cochy if he was playing in first person view. If Cochy wasn't trying for a decap, he should lose his forum admin privileges immediately for not knowing how to play his class. I don't know if LFG cares about character when assigning forum admin rights. Cochy better hope not.

Elrique, I'd suggest sending a PM to Pinkski (on the EQ2Flames board) or Calagin (in EQ2), Cochy's guild leader.

Tattling to the boss always gets the desired results.
I would have assumed that this person was a bot as well, overpricing masters and not speaking english. Cochy should send some plat (what the spell is worth) and then let it go. IF this guy wasn't a bot, which I'm not positive of, cause I've not seen evidence that the dude in question has had anyone show differently, and cause people have seen bots in this guild.
