I lived with my uncle and his boyfriend for two years and trust me when some one called him a fag he got upset. I don't go around calling people "niggers" OR FAGS because they are both offensive. I hear people calling each other "******" and "jew" a hell of a lot more than people calling some one a fag. To say its ok because its common in todays society makes no sense. Sorry but this is plain out a double standard its sad that you can't see that.

The same is not generally the case out here on the Left Coast. But if it seriously bothers you when I use the words "fag" and "gay" on this site, I'll stop using them myself, effective immediately. It is true I don't need to use such words, and can be more creative with my insults in the future.

But it is not fucking possible to restrict use of those terms on this site entirely. I'd need a full time moderator staff to do that. That isn't going to happen.

Use of the term "retard" will also always be allowed here. If anyone objects to use of the word "retard" on the basis they are retarded in real life, then they also lack the mental capacity to post here, and therefore aren't allowed to use this site.

Awww....i thought it was pretty relevant because your talking about it and the importance of both the word and the meaning behind it. You also have not deleted (at least to my knowledge) a ton of other posts not only making light of the subject but rather demeaning those Semites who might be frequenters of this site and this game and their feelings of such.

I dont really care that much i just thought it wasnt that outta place, because as i said you're talking about how people shouldnt say the "N" word or the "J" word apparently now (when Jew is not a true reference to a peoples ethnicity, but rather a religion) and i'm sure there would probably be more than enough anti-islamic statements about (especially in reference to Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, 9/11, Usama Bin-Laden or Al-Qaeda or terrorism in general).

I was simply displaying a way that the word has become used in society in general, and if you havent heard it/read it then simple ignorance of it does not mean that it isn't used. I've heard it several times in my line of work on an almost daily basis and i work with quite a few Hacidem (I might be spelling that wrong).

Oh and LFG I hope you know that i DO like you (No homo) but i think thats complete and utter fucking ignorance. I worked for a year as an assistant teacher to a special education class and i honestly cant stand the fact that the section for 'dumbness' is titled "rate a retard." I also dont like to use the word Retarded (not saying i havent, i'm from Brooklyn i've grown up with people saying it my entire life), i also find it fucking astonishing that you can be so dismissive of it like "They dont have the brains to read this site so they cant get offended." I'm not mentally handicapped, and thank God (if there is one) that my children are not, but if one was I would be just as mad.

Why have i never complained? Simple, i feel it is peoples right and people have a certain sense of freedom of speech which includes the right to offend others. I do not feel we have the right to NOT be offended as individuals or as a society in general.

Biggots, hate mongers and assholes have rights too ... and if we take those away, what next? By drawing more attention to this you are in a way EMPOWERING them.

It upsets be slightly when people use this word, I don't care if they use it. The problem I have is you are saying that "fag" is not offensive or derogatory which it is. I'm not arguing to restrict the word but more the fact that you said its not offensive so I don't care upset me. Personally I think calling some one a "fag" is far worse than "jew". But guess what they are both offensive and no matter how much they are used doesn't change that, surely you can agree with that.

I seriously don't ask for much here, and the thing I want to avoid the most is turning this into a politically correct site, like the official forums.

So all I've ever attempted to do here is restrict hate speech, porn, and illegal conduct.

Hopefully, the great majority of our users don't have a problem with that.

By having hard line rules against the "N" word and using terms like "jew" in a derogatory manner, that eliminates 95% of the problem and complaints.

All this is a slippery slope. I cannot then go so far as to prevent people from using lesser terms like "cracker" here. If I go that far, I may as well shut down the site.
