The truth is, in today's society, saying "this is gay" is a lot more accepted than saying "fuck that N*****" and you can't argue that.

Flaming others is an edgy business as it is. The lines are pushed and tested all the time. Since it is not a literary free-for-all, the level is somewhere around the N-word and J-word. The boundary is set, use your melon and follow the "When in Rome" thing, which is how the site has been run from day one. If anybody missed that nuance, they are fucking dumb and deserve to be corrected publicly. (This doesn't apply to Widem or Falco, there's a difference)

You're right, if you say N or Jew to someone in their face, a stranger, its obviously going to be interpreted as derogatory. I could walk up to some random stranger and call him a fatass turkey fucker, and I'm going to get the same reaction.

Saying "Jew" in the casual, conversational, in a familiar setting context, is completely different.
