In the end none of it matters Dysisx, you're right.

Someone fucked up at SOE and moved players when they shouldn't have, period.

It doesn't matter the why of it, it just matters that it was done.

Now SOE will have to transfer a fuckload of people off Test or you'll see some real drama start.

Afterall, I highly doubt these people paid $50 for each of there characters to be transfered to the new server.

And following same thing,
Why does this select group of people get a free transfer when others are having to pay still?

as an example.
People are currently paying lots of money to transfer off of AB because Sony cant keep that server running with its current load.

I'd say they deserve free transfers even more than a raiding guild on test. They could still play the game perfectly fine on test. People on AB cant even play the game at all a good amount of the time. Yet, they have to pay sony more money just to be able to PLAY.

Fucked up.

The players I feel worst for are those who leveled up a toon on Test to participate in the Test community, and then also leveled up a toon on a Live server to participate in that completely different Live community.

Those people are the ones who got screwed the hardest in this deal.

Actualy thats bullshit right there. RoK Beta they put ALL the PvP copys lumped in with all the PvE copys. Didnt seem to be much work, and there was no problems.

If your gonna sit here and bitch, at least get your fuckin facts straight.

I would like to point out that this isn't "transfering".

These characters dont exist on Live accounts. Not in Station Players, not in your live game folder, no where. Test is not just a server, it is a separate entity and ruleset. I can delete my test folder at any time and not effect my Live account.

It isn't a transfer, you can't transfer a character that does not exist in the Live server world. There is no mechanism to "transfer" from test to live.

These people were copied to live. That is outside of the Server Transfer process, took extensive GM participation, and definately ignored both the rules and actual process of Server Transfers.

Whatever idiot allowed this opened a big can of worms. Apparently, with enough GM Faction you can avoid any Transfer restrictions by going the Copy route.. outside of the Transfer process.

I just want to say, your argument is horrible. If I delete my EQ2 English(UK) Install, I cannot access my characters on European Servers anymore but I can still transfer them off the Euro Servers onto the US Servers.

Honestly the big problem here isn't with the fact that they transferred, imo, but rather the fact that nobody else on test is allowed the same ability to transfer off.
