If someone alters a game that requires the interaction of two people total and that is and this is a keyword "FINITE" has a large impact on both the game and the play.

In an MMO where the wheels on the bus go round and round forever and ever some smuck who speed hacks or dupes a million plat or slays HIS DARGON FOR THE MIGHTY RALLOS ZEK has at best a minor bearing on game play for the masses and for a short period of time in a game that is potentially infinite.

What guildx is doing on mine or any other persons server isn't really a detriment to anyone else. The only outrage people have here is the fact they got off easier than them. They didn't "work as hard" etc. Half the people crying are the same ones who will use an in game exploit when it benefits them to knock out content faster to be "first" blah blah.

This is the whole reasoning (aside from some quality information) that sites like this are popular. It's a pissing match about whose pixels can beat up whose pixels first.

Do I think it's right they got a little action on the side and some hook ups. Not in particular but it has such little bearing on my MMO world and to Joe Nonuber that it makes little to no difference either way.

I saw it also, hundreds of people did. An assassin wearing some of the best healer shoulders in game that drop from Contested Mayong, which this guild could not have killed.

This reminds me of the situation with the dev who got fired last summer for passing out Avatar loot to his guildmates on PVP Test. And in that case, they ended up wiping PVP test to fix the problem, as I recall. But this situation is worse, because this stuff made it to the Live servers.

Hiding the evidence ftw! This is really shame that this happened and now SOE really has 3 choices.

1) Delete the characters on Unrest (The best choice).
2) Allow x-fers off test
3) Do nothing and make themselves look terrible.

Anyways this really is quite a big deal due to plat dupes that have existed on test (this was a huge reason they gave for not allowing people off test in the first place) as well as we have seen free gear handouts from Devs. Test is supposed to be an isolated community as we see with the lack of discoveries and player profiles for test players and I honestly can't see why a GM would be stupid enough to move a guild off of test. SOE has fucked themselves in this situation unless they do something to fix it.

At first I was kinda miffed about it but I didn't think it was too big of a deal. Then I looked into it and saw the Assassin with that gear. The bracers alone would be one thing but the fact that some nub assassin was wearing C-Mayong healer shoulders (my guess is to show off his uber Dev assisted loot) and his guildies coming here lying about not getting hand outs puts me on the side where I want to see these toons deleted on both servers for them being a bunch of class A fucktards.

Lucky, do you have any comments about incidents where Mythical loot discoveries were broadcast serverwide on Test, when you were the only player in that zone at the time?

Way to miss the point. This is a game. Bottom line. In any game, people in a position to alter the rules and mechanics to the benefit of one party while excluding others, and do so, are wrong. Every time. Sorry you failed to see the analogy.

In game where people pay the same subscription fees it is even more wrong.

Im not talking about exploits, cheats, any of that other crap. I'm talking about a Sony employee deciding that rules and policys don't apply to a given customer, and actively colluding with and expediting the breach of rules and policy for that customer.

I am sorry to see that you are so short sighted as to think that allowing this to go through is minor and short term.

Will you think the same when JoePVE convinces GM Pal that he needs his level 80 to be copied over to PvP because its just too much hardship to level there. Its the same damned thing. Allow it once, and it will be done again.
