This is my first post here, so hello to everyone.
After following the threads here and on the official boards the feeling I am getting from this is that someone 'higher' up did indeed authorise this and that is why we are now getting the very poor explanation/response that we are, because whoever it was is too high for Brenlo etc. to do anything about it or for them to send the people involved back to Test and issue a proper apology to the community as a whole for this being allowed to happen in the first place.
I like EQII very much, but Brenlo and Grimwell are just making it worse because imho they are basically saying; tough shit, it got done, we know it is totally wrong but sod you all we are going to do nothing if anything about it, so live with it.
This stinks (polite version) to high heaven and it now leaves us all fully aware that SOE will not abide by their own rules and if you know the 'right' people you can circumvent the procedures pretty much how the hell you like and thumb your nose at the rest of the player base.
If these players are not sent back to Test then I will have to stop playing a game I currently enjoy, as to continue to pay SOE to be treated as a second class, lower grade, inferior customer would make me a blind, bloody blithering idiot.
To the people directly involved in this who are trying to justify it and say it doesnt matter stfu and stop insulting the rest of us with your attempts to justify something that is clearly and blatantly unfair.

Deleting the characters doesn't completely solve the problem. The plat, masters and tradeable loot they brought with them can and have already affected the economy. Deleting the characters doesn't remove the person who was STUPID enough to think this was remotely a good idea. And you know what, fuck you to the person who actually sat for 2 days and coded that. You KNEW it was wrong and did it anyway. You have no balls.

Won't the economy damage will just have to work itself out? Unless they can find large plat xfers to other chars from those toons and reverse them with available coin.

Gallenite should definately get a black eye for doing it. (Isn't that who brenlo or grimwell said did it)

and kudos to LFG for the detective work to find this.

Now what else did this person(s) do that they shouldn't have. IF SOE didn't know about this, chances are he had cart blanche for lots of things.
