Re: Unhallowed Triad/Unrest - moved from Test by SOE
I created Should Eq2 Developers Be Allowed Join Raid Guilds so we can keep that issue separate, and stay on topic with this thread here.
Btw, what exactly is the purpose of the guides in EQ2? Aside from coming up behind you at the broker, with their RP cyb0rz shit.

As a fellow member of Unrest, I agree. There is no way they should be allowed to keep a level 60 guild that was just handed to them. The guild I'm in has only been around for a few months, and we're >| |< that close to dinging 60. We've raided 5x a week to get to this level, only for this clusterfux to happen and they get a level 60 guild handed to them.
is all I can say to the bigwig with no ethics who told the minion(s) to do this sort of bull crap.

Re: Unhallowed Triad/Unrest - moved from Test by SOE
From what I've read of their posts, the players from UT come across as the very LAST people I'd want to do a special kindness for. I'm quite sure there are members of UT that aren't drama-queen teen-agers with foul mouths & bad attitudes, but so far I've not seen a single one of the decent members posting. All I've seen is punks like Lucky & Kuulian.
It's really sad that SOE chose to lie down with these particular flea-bags.

It is ever sadder that after all of this has come out that both the guild and those players are still polluting the UNREST server. I think SOE should ban the players involved in the transfer ( lucky in particular) and they should disband the guild and delete all their toons.

Let them play, I say.

Actually, it does have a true monetary value. Aside from the $50 transfer fee that was not paid, what happens when these characters that did not exist hit station exchange and get sold? Or lets go even farther reaching than that. Using the resources of this copied character to rapidly power level multiple characters and then rapidly gear them out to sell...

Re: Unhallowed Triad/Unrest - moved from Test by SOE
there is no way to know if a dev or gm or any that works for soe is in your guild!
what you want do kick anyone from cali or where there are soe offices located
hell i am sure they have people that work from home even
if they want to play let them play
if they cheat fire them and kill the guild
my next question is
how do we know that the test guild is gone on test or live
for all we know
they gave toon renames and moved them to another server
i can lie as good as the next person
oh no's all my toons are gone and i had to roll a lvl1
how is unrest doing today?
seem like there are less masters floating around? asking

Re: Unhallowed Triad/Unrest - moved from Test by SOE
There is no way SOE can unravel this mess; Unrest is premanently tainted now that the test items have made it in to the wild (and they aren't about to delete the UT characters made on Unrest, now buffed with test items).
Bruce needs to man up and take responsibility for the issue. I'm sure he wasn't the one who ordered the copies, but as Producer, he needs to be accountable for the issue.

It should be obvious now that if even the Senior Producer couldn't resist the temptation of giving his buddies "special treatment", going as far as DEMANDING it be done, other member of the development team, place their guild at an unfair advantage. In every contest there's a clause that bars employees among others from participating, why should raiding be any different?
P.S you should have put this in General Information, it would have been much more visible, and the impact of this goes well beyond just a single guild.

I later retracted my comment, based on an email I received from Scott, about him being a personal friend of Lucky. He told me point blank that wasn't true. I believe Scott over another source if he says something to me straight up like that.

Re: Unhallowed Triad/Unrest - moved from Test by SOE
yeah, never believed in the gallenite involvement story to begin with. Also, him being fired for it would be laughable, as it is apparent they won't penalize anyone for this.
My bet Lucky gets a free account-rename and about 5000 plat for a new start. Or gets a toon of his choice moved from Bazaar to a server of his choice. He's obviously a cousin or a brother-in-law of some fucked up asshole executive. I dont even blame Bruce or any of the forum twerp-mods since if they said anything about Johny the Lucky Kidd their ass would be escorted off premises that very day.

The story I've confirmed with several sources and consider reliable goes like this:
1. An "SOE employee" is guilded in UT (This was NOT Grimwell, even though Grimwell was in UT on Test beginning last July, he is not the person I'm referring to here)
2. That SOE employee instructs a coder to move UT from Test to Unrest.
3. The coder balks, says he can't do that. (btw, this guy is the hero of this story, he's the person who put his finger in the dike and said "fuck no". I didn't get any info in this thread from this person and am not naming him to avoid any hassle to him)
4. The SOE employee then forces the issue and goes high up the chain over the coder's head. This results in the coder being given a direct order from senior management to do the move.
5. The coder then spends 2+ days doing his best and hand coding as much as he could to remove as much of the worst stuff possible from the toons before they were moved to Live.
