I was once a member of Unholy Trinity on test server. I can say with certainty that there was a dev in the Unholy Trinity guild named Kristie. Many of her "dev" posts can be found on the official forums and in the dev tracker here on EQ2 Flames.

Yes Lucky was kited out with fabled gear to help test raid content. I never saw much mythical gear when I raided with Unholy Trinity on test...but then again all I did with them was Labs and Freethinkers.

I cannot get any more info as I have been banned from their forums due to long standing absence from Test server since I went back to playing on live.

Oh yeah, that lie about never seeing a QA on test. Ok I saw at least three QA's on test. One was moved to EQ1 and the two that are there I talked with quite frequently...one even came and found me in the Enchanted Lands one day just to say hello, and yet another QA contacted me over a glitch I found in tradeskilling way back when on test as well. So I'm tempted to say don't believe everything that Lucky is saying either. Seems he says one thing, retracts it and admits....then goes back to lieing.

Plenty of us "silent" folk played on test and have friends and contacts over there. I for one will testify to the truth since I have nothing to lose cause I don't play the game anymore.

And sure, Lucky and his band of idiots have a inalienable right to desire change...and be happy with their game.

BUT...

He was still a cheater. He still took all his ill gotten shit with him to live. He still took a guild that did not have the experience for the level they were. He still took advantage of a system that has enough cracks that this little transfer might not have been known for a while.

A chain is as strong as its weakest link, Lucky was guild leader and the weak link. The guild will go as the leader goes.

I don't think test is a "server full of people who wish it were them"...if that were the case Blanka, why didn't all of UT go as well? Some stayed behind or were kicked. They knew something was rotten in Denmark. And lo and behold, they still have characters to play.

So what if no one saw any "corruption" prior to this...you can't ignore things that are wrong on the assumption that...OH...it happened before probably...why should we care.



Youre right though...its all screwed up. They have pissed off and alienated part of their playerbase. They have made a lame apology that reinforced that alienation. They tried to be heavy handed in their forums and banned people from posting who seemed to add to the negativity. They make some half assed attempt to reconcile with the testers by offering another 25% BONUS xp...


Its all fucked up. Grimwell, Gnobrin, Kirstie, Echgar all participated in this farce and should all apologize to the community. Not some douchebag new sr. producer who's only claim to fame so far is his sarcasm and ability to piss off mass groups of people with one sentence.

They started the fires....its the customers who have to sit there and watch them burn now.

Actually, what's wrong with that? Maybe not outright fired, but certainly shifted to a position where they are unable to do this again. They've shown themselves to be corrupt and have little regard for the integrity of the game worlds over a few favors for their "friends", and if they can do it once, they can do it again... after all, maybe next time they won't get caught, right? Right now, the vibe is that they think that such behavior is "okay", they really can't see why people would take so badly to their simple acts of "kindness" to their friends, but are willing to reluctantly undo their actions if it makes people happy... and that makes alot of people upset.

Again, integrity, so it doesn't happen again. Cheating game devs will be cheating game devs, it happens, but it also takes a certain type of person to cheat for their friends in a game like this and when you've found someone like that, the solution isn't to let them remain as whatever they are (Associate Producer? If it's Kirstie), you put them somewhere that they can't do any more damage. Because, as evidenced by this thread and the longer one on the Official forums.. it does do alot of damage, mostly on the side of player trust.

after 74 pages, the fact that burns me the most is that they wasted TWO FUCKING DAYS of a coders time to move some fucking douchebags off a worthless server. and that's after said coder protested the project.

I want friends at SoE so I can get my fucking mage pet fixed. how many days should that take? :P
