there's a few posts from test server players on this thread suggesting that at least one guild upped sticks to another game.

I don't either, but if everything went down as we've seen, there is always the HR implications of the coder who initially refused to do it.

Hostile work environment and all that, posibility of a pretty substantial lawsuit depending on circumstances. Did this put that person in a bad light at work, create a situation in a small industry that prevents upward mobility etc... Gotta love lawyers.

Thats aside from bad PR and all that unquntifiable stuff.

This is really wrong. The person who instigated this transfer is unethical and cannot be trusted. They should lose their job. Who wants unethical people on their payroll where they can do further dammage. If Ken Lay can go to prison, then this person who caused this transfer of this guild should lose his job or be transferred elsewhere in the company -- preferably to cleaning the toilets.

LFG, I respect you however I must disagree. If nothing is done to the person who blantantly abused his/her/it's power then the same thing or worse will happen again.

When it comes down to it we are no more than higher formed monkeys. We don't learn unless examples are made or someone beats one of our team mates with a big fucking stick.

Put this into perspective. You own a business. One of your employees is caught giving a employee discount to one of his friends. Not by you but by another customer. It is brought to your attention, what do you do?

If you say nothing...next time it will be a five finger discount.

This should be punished. Apparently for quite a while now the office of SOE has been pretty lax and things keep happening.

THis is just one thing that they got caught on, what about all the other crap they pull? All this little episode did was teach them next time be more sneaky about it. Have fake level history made on eq2players site after transfer, or just flat out give these type of people things on new server that will make thier progression back up trivial at best. That way people think its just a new up and coming guild that is busting thier ass to get to end game.

If SOE does not clean house, well lets just say lets all meet up in the next thread of their next screw up. Any one wanna bet money for next screw up date, uh oh if sony reads this they may brainstorm selling squares for this.

I personally would love to know who thought that one set of people were so much better than another that they deserved a special favor from "on high" in SOE. I feel that someone who can't think things through far enough to see the most likely outcome(s) of an action should not be in that position, and I hope SOE at least provides some additional training to a few of the key players here.

I would like to offer this theory: Some people on test may have felt pressured into raiding because a lot of us have been pointing out for awhile that it wasn't being properly tested. At NO time do I believe anyone told them they had to do it or copies would be allowed for anyone to the regular test server as has been hinted at (or possibly even stated outright). PVP Test server is in place for when more testing is needed than can be done on the regular test server. Maybe it wouldn't have been needed if there was a higher population on test, that's true, but no one forced the raiding issue, I'm positive.

And Saedie and Botheg are both very competent QA people. I've worked with both of them extensively, both on test server and in beta. SOE hires a lot of their people through that same temp company that one of the UT people spoke of. Hell, the last two jobs I had were through a temp company and they became permanent jobs, it's how a lot of businesses do it now. Just because you're hired through one doesn't mean you aren't competent. I sincerely think that in this case "not competent" meant to those members of UT who said it-- "I can't control them". And probably about the time that fact became apparent was when the thoughts of copying/moving appeared.

Again, my opinion, nothing stated here except Botheg and Saedie being wonderful can be proven by me
