I know exactly who Venom is and I know they get flogged as a cat ch phrase to drop as this big ass influence when in truth history makes them out to be more important than they are. They are an okay band and had an impact, but not as godlike as it's hyped to be.

Celitc Frost on the other hand is 1000 times better and a bigger influence but they don't get the name pranced around like Venom does. If I had a buck for every lame ass poser with a crisp new Venom shirt I saw at any metal gig I'd be a rich man.

I love Celtic Frost to death,their new cd is real damn good.

Also I never worn a Venom shirt,I usually wear Emperor,Burzum,Mayhem .....have like 10 burzum lol

Whats wrong with being theatrical ??? Thats what Emperor is and was always about...symphonic,theatrical.

WEll they decided to shed the corpse paint,spikes,and what your typical black metalist should look like,and went with what their pagan Norweigan ancestors looked like.

Emperor has changed their look through the years now their style is just blue collar looking.

Alot of BM bands got their influences from J.R.R. Tolken from Burzum {Which means the darkness encraved on one of the rings} Gorgoroth also.....Even Ulver was about fantasy novels before they got out of BM.
