I canceled my account and it still have 5 days left. I will post that letter and any other quotes on the official forums if LFG wants. I wouldn't want to step on his toes but other than that I don't give damn. It will just get deleted though.

You know, the more I think about SOE's behavior, the more annoyed I get.

I HATE HATE HATE raiding, I mean I REALLLLLY hate it. Most likely for all the reasons you hardcore raiders love it. /shiver.

When I first learned about this site, I was told it was just a bunch of pasty men who hadnt seen the sun or a shower in months, living in moms basement, raiding 24/7. Oh, and that it was a bunch of whiners who got kicked off the offical boards for disrupting things.

I came over here and lurked for a while to see how silly it was.

And guess what? I stayed and learned . A LOT, about my precious conjy class, game dynamics, quests, etc. I found myself coming here day after day, and the official forums less and less. And I leanred tehre are great men AND women here. Women just like me who love this game. Some who even are hardcore raiders.

I also met some pretty interesting and fun people. I recall reading posts from LFG getting all kinds of pissed at folks for putting FUCK in the title of threads, etc, cuz he ws trying to get SOE to add this site as an offical fansite. He went of of his way to appease SOE. Now look at the mess SOE has made. PFFFT, I support this site all the way.

Anyway, there are most likely some pasty basement-folk here, but if there are, they can put together great ideas and speak intelligently about the game.

/gets off soapbox and goes looking for lunch.

Yeah I remember all that hard work LFG put in to try to develop a decent relationship between flames and the official forums. Trying to keep this crowd behaving in a civilised-enough manner for that to happen took a bloody miracle imo.

So the funny thing here is that just yesterday Morning-ish... that I canceled my two accounts, it had little to do with anything other than I was tired of logging in and not having anyone in the guild... I was tired of looking for a new guild (not sure exactly what I was looking for anyhow) and since I joined the gym in the beginning of February I'd found very little time to play...

Though after all this has gone down, I feel much better and encourage you all to cancel as well. Nothing hurts worse than a swift kick in the pocketbook, and unless 50%+ of the population quits they won't miss the onsies and twosies of us that are leaving.

Oh yeah and spring is coming up so I need the extra time to get out and plant the garden soon.

Staying put here as I enjoy the community, gone from the game.
