Why also would they turn their backs and ignore a great source of 'honest' and 'real' feedback here at EQ2Flames?
Let's consider the 'majority' of the community here...seems to me it's the raid community as well.

Could it be that the community has grown too smart and SOE is tired of tap dancing around issues?
Maybe they are willing to lose the profit to avoid the issues, problems, and headaches?

I guess all i'm saying is sometimes it's hard to see through a smoke screen and know what's really going on and what the real objectives and motives are...

...and en lieu of past and recent events of the end game being completely fucked, I find it hard pressed to say it's coincidental and disregard a possible ulterior motive.

Maybe they are ready to cash their chips in, but are going string this along and suck up as much overhead profit as they can before it starts costing them?

Well, dick, LFG did quite a few positive things. Yes he allowed threads complaining about numerous topics that might have been uncomfortable to SoE to thrive on these boards, and maybe even posted in some of them, but that was understood by SoE before they even entered into this relationship with him. If they weren't aware that this was a forum for free speech, then that is their fault for not doing thier research.

So even you agree that there was no malfeasance on LFG's part, but yet he wasn't an active and mature participant in discussions? I call BS on that. There have been many threads on these very boards providing rational, mature, even respectful, feedback to developers, most notably on the class forums.

As far as the cockfight you describe with SoE where they piss LFG off and he pisses them off, in a neverending circle... well the wisest leaders realize they need people who disagree with them in their inner circle. One of our greatest presidents, Lincoln, chose people for his cabinet who DID NOT LIKE HIS POLICIES. Granted part of that was political expediency, but it also provides an alternate point of view, and if you're controling something like a company, you disregard opposing points of view at your own peril.

Long story short...I don't quite agree with outing the dev's. Not all of them are asshats, and many of them i'm sure are great peeps who genuinely do the best with that they have, but I do support LFG. If nothing else... the "Free market" system of forums has worked. I can rest my case simply by monitoring which site gets more traffic, eq2flames, or SoE forums (which should be the first and foremost reference and source of info for the game, since it's RUN BY SOE!)

Now the Coercer debacle makes sense. Not only are these ass clowns inept but they are crooked. None of them play a coercer. If they did it wouldn't be the neglected black sheep of classes. Good thing I canceled my account a while back because it looks like things are gonna start getting crazy 'round here. Shit ass game, crooked staff, poor class balancing, neglected classes (coercer) = no thanks.

Most of you people are posting about how much SOE sucks and then logging into the game to go uber raiding with your guild. That really shows them.
