I do not post much here, and appreciate the information that is in these forums. Just wanted to say a few things.

Many of you seem to think that the game is broken beyond repair both in content and customer relations. The beauty of these forums is that you can state your opinions here. I am sure that many of you have done your best to improve things about the game in the past.

Now, because of this incident, many of you have given up on the game. OK, I understand that. But, there are still many of us that do play the game, and for some reason, still enjoy it. As I may not understand your reasons for all the hate, you may not understand my reasons for still enjoying the game. I do not expect an explanation for all the hate. Different strokes and all that.

LFG, I am sure you have worked quite hard to provide the forum for unedited commentary on the game. And, while I may not have posted the letter from SOE, I respect you decision to do so. Calling for an all out war on SOE I do not understand. What are you hoping to accomplish?

Snark, posting information about members of SOE that had no part in what happened is unnecessary in my opinion. Bad decisions happen in all large companies, but not every member of the company is responsible for the decisions made.

To all of those people that are leaving the game, I wish you happiness in whatever you do. No reason to keep banging your head against a wall, after a while it begins to hurt.

Well, I finally quit lurking and decide to make a post...uh oh ~grin~. I fully support you and your site...and the right of the playerbase to voice their opinions without the censorship SOE has so thoughtfully provided. Just throwing my support in....move along....

I think what Sony did was reprehensible at the least and completely retarded at the worst. That being said, it's certainly not the first time they have done things like this. Go over to their forums and try to tell them something isn't working correctly and it needs to be looked at. For some extra attention put some passion into your request. You will have a response in mere moments. I've had posts removed before I could refresh the page. Now, go into the game and post a legitimate /petition and tell me how long it takes to get an answer, any answer, it doesn't even have to be the right answer...and in my experience it likely won't be...if you get one at all. I've had petitions go completely unanswered and then quietly closed from the other side. I think this is what people are pissed at Sony about, not this one incident, but years of being played as fools and strung along so we keep giving them our cash.

Personally, I've written this game off already and am simply waiting for something else to come along. It wasn’t this one incident, but many, many incidents over the years. My biggest issue has to do with huge game bugs remaining for months and years, but having LoN shit crammed down my throat with daily updates. I know, I get it, they are making more money on LoN than fixing the game, but to me this indicates that they feel the game is dead and they are simply milking it for all the cash they can until it dies. I can’t blame Sony here either, but I can chose not to give them more money.

I greatly enjoy my friends in this game, some RL, some made while playing, but most of us have made the same decision. Sony only has us until one of the new games like Conan or Warhammer are released to the public and then we are planning a mass exodus. Many of my friends in this game have already canceled Station Accounts, second accounts, and any other extras to the basic subscription as part of this plan. I was starting a second account for my daughter and then they broke my Conjuror pets in the ramp up to RoK. I then held off on the second account to see if they would fix the issues…I’ve done many bug reports and many /feedback reports, but nothing yet. In that same time I’ve gotten many hundreds of megabytes of LoN updates on almost a daily basis. OK, I get it, Sony doesn’t want to fix the issues as they see this as a dying game.

Sony is no longer the problem here, I am the problem and so are you if you are still paying them. LFG did nothing wrong, in fact, I think he went out of his way to do things right. We need to realize Sony doesn’t care what you think; they only want your cash. I don’t think it’s particularly evil, it’s just he way of business and don’t kid yourself…these decisions are calculated to earn the most amount of money. I do think they stepped on their cranks hard this time, but in the end, it won’t really matter and they simply don’t care.

I will admit that I’ll be giving them a couple more months of subscription fees, but I’m only doing it so I can hang with my friends. Once one of the other games comes out I’m gone…or sooner if something major breaks again…the lag has made the game all but unplayable lately and I’m one that never sees lag…or at least the last one to do so.
