It is that tone that makes it sound like a threat. Do this one thing and I'll stop the drama, don't do it, and it will never go away.

I realize the intent of your post, but those biased against you will interpolate that as at least a veiled threat.

On a side note, everyone saw they adjusted the rules over there to presumptively allow dissenting and negative posts providing they are not insulting of an individual?

This obviously needs to be put to the test. But I think this is their olive branch to win back some of the moderate, level-headed, articulate people that they chased over here over the past couple years.

TBO, I think thats the goal, attract some of that crowd back and let Flames wallow in the droll tard/noob/burn posts that the juveniles seem to find so rewarding.

It could be a successful campaign if the community team reaches out to those individuals directly. Atleast, that would be my play.

If that's their entire effort, then it's far too little, far too late. In fact, it's once again insulting, if that really was their intention.

More to the point would be an official post by a new PR agent: We have heard you, we have made significant changes in policy and in customer-facing staff, and we have removed Astaroth from the payroll.

Nothing else, IMO, changes anything or impresses me enough to stay in the game.

I find it mildly amusing and more than a little ironic that certain regulars over there are getting so negative in the tone of their posts towards flames in that particular thread.

I feel like the emperor when I read them because I think to myself "Yes. Give in to your anger. Come to the dark side..."
