I have raided high end in WOW and EQ2....You are wrong....While I personally prefer EQ2 "mainly due to the community" I have nothing bad to say about WOW....Its a personal preference but both games are fun...and in both games they are what you make them, just as much as they are what the devs make them....

Although the previous poster is correct each games fun is in the eye of the beholder, I however found WoW to be plain stupid especially post TBS, although I have heared Wrath is supposed to add alot more complexity to raiding. That said I am not trying to create a "bash" WoW thread so lets drop that, my point is simple, there are mmo's out there with as many if not more players then eq2 and it is not because the games are that much better, its because they actually listen to the players and manage the game proplery. At least that is how i see it.

With points like b through f, how is anyone suppose to take that list seriously? At the very least it comes off as you have not played MMOs in general, let alone the one your critiquing.

EQ2 has < 200,000 subs vs WoW's aprox 10 million. Think about what your saying. 10 million people aren't going to throw money (monthly mind you) at a shitty game, simply because they're impressed by it's management.

Totally agree, but they spend a lot of time and money convincing 10 million people it's actually worth playing. SoE just plain don't bother.

5.5 Million accounts aren't under a monthly bill. Learn how the Asian MMO account market works.

The big marketing blitz that you see today didn't occur until after TBC. By then it had 6 million. As I mentioned before, that may get you box sales, but commercials aren't going to keep people paying monthly for your shitty product.
