Re: EQ2 Flames Consolidated Developer Information List
As Calthine has hinted, I do recall a 3rd "cross-game" forum that various people from different SOE games who attended the Influencer program were invited to participate in.
That forum was on a different SOE website, it wasn't a subforum on the EQ2 forums.
I recall that "cross game forum" was set up by Brenlo around the time of the most recent Las Vegas Fanfaire. Shortly after that Fanfaire, I posted on it a few times. I made a fairly detailed post offering to do a panel on "how to start and run a successful MMO fansite" at the next fanfaire, and invited others to respond and participate. Grimwell replied that he thought it was a great idea, and would make it happen and/or do something further with the idea, but he never did, and that's the last time I saw him post there either.
I tried visiting that site for a few months after the last Fanfaire, but it turned into a collection of rants by people angry about various things that had no relevance to me, such as complaints about Star Wars and the EQ class liason program, etc. The cross game forum was a huge waste of my time, and had nothing whatsoever to do with EQ2, so I stopped checking it months ago.
I honestly and truly believed, and still believe, that the Influencer program was merely an offspring of the original Summit program. As I recall, they set up the Influencer program separately from the Summit program (which I belonged to from the beginning) as a way to privately exclude some of the existing people from the Summit program without letting them know about it, to avoid hurting their feelings for not being included.
I'll be honest about something else, also. I didn't understand and couldn't follow most of what happened at the Influencer program that I attended at the last Fanfaire, because I was basically stone deaf at the time. I pretty much smiled and nodded a lot to make it appear that I was participating, to avoid being trouble to anyone. I was/am fairly adept at reading lips/kind of following conversations, but I really didn't catch much of anything that was going on during the day long meeting we had at the last Fanfaire, except it seemed to me that much of the conversation involved how to get former players to resubscribe to Star Wars. That's pretty much what I got out of the day long meeting, in a nutshell. It was for that reason that I declined the invitation to the previous Summit/Influencer program, and asked for Calthine to attend in my place, so she could actually participate and try and ask questions relevant to this community.
So if the Influencer program at the last Fanfaire was supposed to be any different from the original Summit program that I attended, or if the "cross game" board that Brenlo set up was supposed to have any meaning or relevance to me in any way, I really never understood that. It made no sense to me that I was being asked to participate in a "generic" board about all SOE games that seemed to have nothing whatsoever to do with EQ2 or my interests in fansites or forums.
I assume that my access to the 3rd "cross game" site was removed at the same time my access to the Summit Site, the EQ2 Fan Site forum, and EQ2Flames' fansite status was taken away.
But if that "generic cross game site" was supposed to define the Influencer program, it was a bigger joke and less useful than other two sites set up as private subforums to the official EQ2 forums.
If there was any other site that anyone is talking about, I never had access, I only ever viewed the three sites discussed above, and nothing on any of them was relevant to this community or worth participating in.

I suck at catching boxing references obvs.
Does anyone else find it humorous that the Influencer program has a lot of nothing to do with EQ2, at least according to LFG?
Or that the two private forums that pertain to EQ2 are seldom used?

LOL, in the future I'm just going to assume that you mean whatever you leave out.
Sweet way of arguing though, because whatever happens, you can pretend you were saying the opposite:
Gaige: "Pope visits middle east."
Gaige: "Dozens died in a bombing in Baghdad."
Timeline #1
Calthine: "Must've been the pope then"
Gaige: "I didn't say that"
Timeline #2
Calthine: "That's not related"
Gaige: "Read between the lines."
Maybe you did mean the opposite, but that's the catch with a forum, if you're unclear people will rate your opinion by what is there.

Blah blah blah. Until that post of mine magically changes and says "two forums that all influencers have access to" it says what it says, I don't give a fuck how people read it.

Re: EQ2 Flames Consolidated Developer Information List
The issue about whether the Summit board and Fan Site board were part of the Influencer program is ridiculous anyway. If Grimwell didn't believe they were part of the Influencer program himself, why would he remove my access to them then send me an email saying I'd been removed from the Influencer program? Of course they were part of that program, and were a larger and more historical part than the 3rd "cross game" SOE forum that was also largely unused by EQ2 people.
I wasn't merely removed from the Influencer program, EQ2Flames' fansite status with SOE was removed at the same time.
It wasn't the first time Grimwell rationalized why he removed someone from this program. When he removed Gaige about a year ago, the reason he gave was that Gaige posted he was retiring from EQ2, so he no longer needed to be in that program. The real reason was that Gaige was arguing with the NGD people in that forum, and they were sending Grimwell messages asking for Gaige to be removed. There are more than a half dozen people whose access was never removed after they left EQ2. Some came back, others didn't, but they all still had and STILL HAVE access.
Grimwell's reasoning in both my and Gaige's cases was bullshit. He and Brenlo decided what they wanted to do, then manufactured their excuses to fit the situation. In the world I live in, that's called lying.

Re: EQ2 Flames Consolidated Developer Information List
It's sad they have all this energy to put into these retarded subprograms in which the sample group is non diverse and clearly biased.

Ah but you should give a fuck.
You say "the influencers" which implies you are talking about them as a whole group.
